|I thought this was a lovely little hotel for a quick London visit. It was clean and comfortable, if a trifle small. The chap at reception was delightfully helpful and so were all the staff I encountered. It is perfectly situated for King's Cross and Euston, and convenient for popping along to Bloomsbury. They also provided a most acceptable cooked breakfast, and for the price, I would recommend it heartily.

I stayed here because it was close to Euston, because I got a reasonable rate and it's not a chain. The room was miniscule (more a single with a double bed in it ) but for what I wanted it was adequate. There is a lovely old-fashioned, quirky lift. The bed was comfortable and clean but very little space in the room. The shower was also bijou but hot and strong, even if it turned into a wet room. The room was very warm but the windows opened and I always carry war plugs, so that wasn't a problem. The rate included breakfast which although not huge was freshly cooked. There is also a lounge beside the breakfast room. Reception is 24 hours and very friendly. There is a pub selling food right next door, the usual chain restaurants on Euston Road and more individual restaurants a short walk away in Bloomsbury.

I have stayed in many hotels as I travel a lot with my work. This has to have been the worst I have ever had the misfortune to be in. My colleague and I were only graeful that there was a great pub/diner next door, whioch staved off the dreaded feeling of having to go into our rooms.
The toilet/shower is a cupboard, you could'nt even take your clother off in it, the space was so small, there was no ceiling in my bathroom, just a dirty hole up into a space. The tiles were brown with old grouting,. There were electric cables leading from a plug socket in the wall, along the floor, the bed was up against a wall, and although the sheets were clean, the room was so disgusting, I barely slept.
Wallpaper falling off the walls, TV remote stuck together with sellotape, which stuck to your hands (that was truly disgusting)
Whilst the staff were pleasant enough, the halls/ stairs are so narrow, no-one with any disability (or on the plump side) would be able to move.
Had we been able to, we would have moved hotel, but thankful mercy in the form of a brilliant busy bustling pub next door saved our sanity.
Fawlty towers is a palace compared to this.

Room Tip: there was one room, on the ground floor which appeared to have been renovated, but upstairs was drea...

You have to understand with property prices in central London always high and rental prices to match the owners must get as much money as is possible from the square footage of the hotel. Knowing this economic necessity we were not surprised the rooms were small. They were however very clean and comfortable with all that was necessary. They are en-suite. They looked as if they had recently been refurbished. There was a flat screen tv and tea and coffee facilities. We certainly were not intending to stay in but get out and make the most of our short holiday, The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast was full Engish plus a buffet of cereal and fruit. So you could eat all you wanted. The standard of the food was surprisingly excellent with each Full English cooked seperately.
But the real bonus is that this Hotel is within easy walking distance of Three main line stations and several underground stations. You will find travel expensive in central London so that is a huge saving and also enables you to see more. There is a good cinema within walking distance at the Brunswick centre. The neighbourhood must be one of the pleasantist in London. We were there on Christmas day and enjoyed an amazing lunch at a nearby Greek restaurant. Thank you Mabledon!!!

We stayed here whilst overnighting to get the train from Euston to Wales. Great location from Euston station about 500m and not far to Kings Cross Station. The rooms are small but clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was included but we didn't have it as we left before it started at 7.30am. The bathroom is tiny, you can just fit in the shower cubicle, its like one you would have in a motorhome. Reception very helpful. Free Wifi.
We went walking up the road near Kings Cross for dinner. Location is excellent. The pub next door is nice. All in all, I would say it was a bargin for a budget hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is its location, near rail stations, and bus routes to central London. Rooms are very small, but our bed was comfortable, there was very little noise at night, the breakfast in a bright basement room was fine, and there is even a decent pub next door. The rates are reasonable by London standards. Friendly and helpful staff too. We would happily return here.

Very conveniently located, just a few minutes away from Camden, but the rooms (and the bathroom) are very small. Also, expect it to be a bit noisy..
