“Expensive for a Tiny Room”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

Poor value for money compared to Crowne Moran & Holiday Inn - very cramped room - smallest double bed and could not sit square on toilet. Staff helpful & friendly. Breakfast would have been good if fresh fruit was available.

The hotel is basic. There is nothing wrong with that but it needs some deco up date as it took me back to early 90s. Breakfast is ok staff is friendly and helpful.Location isn't bad specially if u driving to London. Westfield shopping centre is not far with lots of shops under one roof. There are copule good bars around too.

To be honest it wasn't that bad, but it was nothing special. We stayed for justt a night, 2 adults and 2 teens. They shared a bed in a cramped corner while we had a bigger but not comfortable bed. The bathroom was small ,but modern. We were staying in the outbuilding which had a nice garden. there's a lot of travelers here, it's a B&B you sleep, eat then go. Breakfast was let down, greasy and not much else to eat.

Oh well, we were out most of the time.

Have stayed here a few times. The rooms vary in size and some can seem a bit shabby. The bathrooms can be luxurious down to a bathroom in a cupboard. But they are all clean and the beds are very comfy. Main complaint is that for some reason, they never have bacon on breakfast menu!!! Penny pinching maybe?

I've stayed at this hotel twice (rather stupidly) and won't be staying again. There is nothing good to say about the place - it's simply an independent hotel with owners that are only interested in generating as much income as possible. Business is good simply because there is a severe lack of hotels in Chiswick.

The first time I stayed my room was in the attic - it was the smallest room I've ever seen and felt extremely claustrophobic. I bumped my head on several occasions, despite only being 5'6 tall. The bathroom was also ridiculously small - I had to open the door and carefully manoeuvre my way around the bathroom before being able to close the door.

On my second visit I thought I couldn't possibly have such a bad room - well I was wrong as on this visit I was in the basement. Yes the basement - the money grasping owners have crammed in as many rooms as possible across various houses that they have bought adjoining the main hotel. This time I was in a 'family room' at over £150 a night. Luckily I was alone in the room as it was extremely small and all the space was consumed by the two beds that were against the wall and practically touching each other. This room is a small double and I cannot believe that the greedy owners crammed in a single and double bed! Same problem with the bathroom, practically a carbon copy of the tiny bathroom in the attic.

The above would be almost acceptable had it not been for the high prices levied for staying at the hotel.

Good location, free parking available and a good nights sleep. Room was very 'compact' but new & clean with a good shower and wardrobe space. Most staff were very friendly and helpful with the odd exception at breakfast who was rude, unsmiling, sullen and very unhelpful! General experience for our group of 8 was mixed but not bad and would probably stay again.

Stayed at the hotel whilst working at nearby chiswick park. On the plus side, it's very handy for Chiswick high street and only 10min walk to nearest tube station (district line). The hotel also offers free wifi, free parking and complimentary coffee all day. The building itself promises much from the outside but sadly fails to deliver from the moment you step inside; think cheap eighties seaside b&b!
At £155 per night, I think a guest should expect more than a poor nights sleep, cheap breakfast and tired and dated accommodation. I've stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels cheaper than this. Guess that's London for you!
I was given room 2 on the ground floor. Avoid this room at all costs. Had the worst nights sleep ever. The room is too close to the main hustle of the hotel, with chairs outside for people to meet and chat (shout) and the door banging shut all night. Could also hear everything that went on in reception. Consequently I got about 30 mins sleep all night. This should not be a bedroom!
As there is no breakfast room, breakfast is served in reception. Very lack lustre too. Tinned pineapple rings, plastic tubs with cereals, eggy mush and pasty chicken sausages! Not very satisfying at all.
Would suggest killing two birds with one stone by making room 2 reception, which would then free up the current reception area for a separate breakfast / restaurant area.
Do not pay more than £60 for this hotel!
