One of the few art galleries in South East London, the small Dulwich Picture Gallery is a beautiful art house with a nice cafe and occasional great exhibitions.

A fascinating exhibition in this beautiful little gallery. Well worth visiting, especially the earlier work. I always love the permanent display too.

Went to see the Hockney show which I judge to be simply excellent and hugely enjoyable. Of course it is a treat to see items from the permanent collection also.

We have visited this gallery on a number of occasions and more recently, for the Hockney Print exhibition. Worth the trip - a very well curated exhibition and one we thoroughly enjoyed.

The gallery itself holds a small permanent exhibition but as previous posters have indicated we tend to visit when an exhibition of interest is being shown. Very good on site facilities including the excellently run Cafe which attracts the locals as well as us visitors!

We always use North Dulwich rail station (only Fare Zone 2) and an off peak journey with an Oyster Card greatly reduces the cost as well. From the station it's a pleasant walk through the village.

This charming gallery is always worth a visit but for those making a special trip, perhaps wait until an exhibition of interest comes around.

I had never been to this gallery before, never even been to Dulwich. The gallery is about 15 minutes walk from North Dulwich station, and is well signposted. It is in a cluster of attractive buildings. I went to see the Hockney exhibition, some works not particularly impressive though. I really liked the prints with just a hint of colour. The tea room is quite smart, looking on to the gardens on two sides.
