Owner description: Most of this iconic building was built in the mid-19th century following a devastating fire in 1834. Westminster Hall survived the fire and dates from 1097. Visitors can book tours through the House of Commons and the House of Lords, and are welcome to watch debates and committees when the Houses are sitting..

“Brilliant tour”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

Small group escorted tour around this facinating place - you get to walk through the 13th century great hall, the lobby ( often seen on TV when MPs are being interviewed ) the State Robing Room, House of Lords and House of Commons.
Pre-book or get there early

“Houses of Parliament”
Reviewed 17 April 2012

This was an extremely interesting visit - especially if you are British as it probably means more to you. To see Parliament in the "flesh" instead of just on the television was fascinating. We even got to stand (not allowed to sit) on the benches. Booking is a must.

“History in the making!”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

We happened to be walking by Parliament and noticed a short line. I asked if we could go in and within minutes we were in the House of Commons watching a debate! We then went to the House of Lords which was also debtaing and got to see the throne where Queen Elizabeth sits when addressing Parliament. It was a terrific opportunity and experience.
