Owner description: Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. It is also one of London’s most iconic and visited tourist attractions. Over the years, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances; from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele, and is home to the celebrated BBC Proms. Whilst the venue is most famous for its shows by night, by day this treasured building is open for coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and guided tours of the building. Tip for tour ticket holders: Enjoy a 10% discount on items in the Hall’s gift shop and Cafe Bar.

We were given a voucher at Christmas for a guided tour and afternoon tea at the Royal Albert Hall.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The building is very impressive and if you haven't been on a tour we would highly recommend you try it.

Recently the Albert Hall has suddenly re-established itself as one of the best venues for so many productions.

I have seen Opera and Concerts in the past two years and, in each case, the seating, the views, the sound and the beauty of it all has astounded me.

The Venue offers a variety of different restaurants, my favourite being Coda and I anxiously look out for new productions early to ensure I can get there.

Transport is magnificent - very easy and during the summer months, or indeed, during any good weather, the walk through Hyde Park is an added bonus.

It's stunning inside and out. The seats are beautifully tiered so you can see over the people in front. They have lots of 'boxes' which make for a very special night out (but get the front row in the box). There are 8 chairs in each box, 2 rows.
It's a bit short on ladies loos, long queues. The cafe has delicious cakes.
The quality of performances here, along with the plush interior make it my number one favourite theatre in London.
And a big bonus.... Parking opposite at the Imperial college (book on the Royal Albert Hall website) is very handy.

The show itself was amazing. The stage surrounded by seating helped the production come to life. This building has fantastic acoustics and was a privilege to visit. The theatre brought a feel of classy times past, the show brought fabulous entertainment enriched with nostalgia of the hall. Simply fabulous.
