we stayed in hotel over New Year, 2 members of staff were very pleasant the others were rude, hardly spoke.. Hotel advertises sports bar!!! Far from it they don't even have sky sports or Bt sports. Bar is very pricey. Breakfast was good if you were down first if not all the hot food was gone. Earls court tube station is less than a minute walk which has good lines into the city center. Earls court in general very good has all what you need for wkend away, a lot of eating places and a couple of pubs. Hotel is off of the Main Street very quiet street for city living. Only bad thing about room was the heat!!!!! We didn't have the heating on and it was roasting in December, had to open balcony door. Rooms are small but we were only sleeping there so it didn't bother us. Rooms were cleaned every day. Shower is bk to front the blue dial for cold was actually the hot so got a bit confusing. Apart from a few things, I would definitely recommend hotel for wkend break.

Pretty close to what we were warned in advance:

- Small rooms
- A staff that wouldn’t smile if you tickled them
- Cracking a safe would be easier than finding the proper temperature setting for the shower

That said, great location – next to Earl’s Court Tube (same line as Heathrow and St. Pancras Station…and much else). Some fun restaurants and pubs in the area. The hotel is clean and quiet. Can get an early morning coffee at the golden arches if you’re a victim of jet lag. Check out the Oxfam charity shop nearby if you’re looking for a potential bargain. We got what we paid for and were satisfied. Darn, I tried to make those check in peeps smile tho – can’t be done!

Room Tip: do NOT get a room near the elevator as it announces itself each time it arrives (albeit in an Englis...

We have been to the Enterprise for 4 nights since we got a bargain online (300£ for a double room around Xmas time in central London ) and we liked the hotel and, above all, the area. It's central, in zone 2, 2 minutes walk from Earl's Court tube station, very close to a street that has Mac Donald's, KFC, Sainsbury's, M&S, Cooperative (these are supermarkets) so we bought water and food for cheap. The building is very nice, and we also liked the hall. The staff was okay, when we needed scissors we borrowed them from the reception, there was just a girl with glasses (don't know her name) that acted like she would have loved to be anywhere else, but still, we did not care. We knew the room was small, but we are talking about London. The room was clean and so was the bathroom. WARNING: the hotel is very hot and the first night we had problems to sleep because of the temperature in the room, we heard also other guests complaining about the same thing and when we asked to the receptionist if there was a way to chill the area he answered no. We were there in December, and it was very weird coming inside the hotel from the outside cold. This can be very boring and it's the first hotel in which we experience this problem so we guess it does not work this way all over London.

Tiny rooms and moodiness. That's what we found.
We arrived early and we had to wait for check -in. We went out for a walk around the neighborhood and we have seen a good location: restaurants, convenience stores, subway, bus, all on hand.

When we returned, we had to wait about 15 minutes until the person in front desk, who seemed to be having a really bad day, forward us to the room. An employee helped us with our luggage and got to the room after going through a extremely slow elevator and a hallway, where the luggage (two, large) almost did not fit!

To access the room's door we had to climb down three steps and climb up three others. Inside, the room smelled musty, giving the impression that it was not being used for some time. I noticed a crack in the wall and the complete lack of space to accommodate the luggage.

We went back to the front desk and we asked for another room. We were given two keys and told to choose what best pleased us. We chose the least bad. The space between the bed and the wall was no more than 40 cm (a little more than 1 foot) and there was no room for luggage. We had to open them, one at a time, on the bed. The closet was tiny and there was no room for movement.

In the bathroom, the problem was different: There was no curtain in the shower, just a kind of fanfold bulkhead, too small. Then, by taking a bath I caused a flood in the bathroom.

Outraged, we tried another hotel and, to finish our martyrdom, we had to pay a fine for canceling the reservation, equivalent to one night.

I called Booking's customer care and when I mentioned that the room was very small, the attendant laughed (!) Ironically, saying that “in Europe the rooms are usually small” (!) I'm still trying to understand what she meant by that! In Italy they were not, nor in Paris either!

Anyway, I can not say I was happy to pay the fine, but I was really very happy to move to the Holiday-Inn, where rooms are indeed correct size (even the cheapest), customer service is done by qualified professionals, the elevators work well, hallways have adequate size and there is curtain in the shower.

The room was too small to fulfill its description as a double room. Two single beds were pushed together. One of the beds was forty centimetres from the door to the tiny bathroom, so the door could not open fully. This created a safety hazard. Body parts and clothing were in danger of being caught on the door latch. Emergency personnel would have trouble trying to remove someone from the bathroom. The room did not have a safe, and the staff, who did not know how to smile, wanted us to pay five pounds to use the safe in the office. The only good point is its location, in a very quiet street close to the Piccadilly Line which provides cheap transport to the airport. We stayed there one night after a trip to Spain because our flight home to Oz departed from London. We were glad this hotel was our not our base for an extended stay in London.

Room Tip: Insist on getting a real double room and remind staff of our bad experience in a single room that ha...
