“Great Location”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

I stayed with my daughter during April. I found the hotel to be a good location. The room was very good, found the bathroom a little small but that is probably London. Breakfast was very good and the staff on reception were very good and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and have always found it to be of a high standard. The location is great for public transport and is in easy walking distance of the parks, shops and great restaurants. The staff are always very helpful and extremely pleasant. The breakfasts are well presented with a good choice of food. The hotel is well maintained and tastefully decorated.

The rooms are well services and the beds and pillows are comfy! All in all so good we never stay anywhere else and always recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Pros: 1. Great location. 3-4 blocks from 2 tube lines that are on the district line and get you to the vast majority of major attractions without having to transfer tube lines. Vibrant area, which is also very safe (we walked home from the tube station a couple of nights at around midnight and felt safe) 2. Great, helpful staff. Offered to confirm day tours, helped us with tube, bus routes, and offered to allow us to view rooms before making decision on which one to stay in. 3. Good breakfast included. Meats, cheese, a variety of breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, and cold cereal with milk. Simple, but fresh and tasty. 4. Clean-- clean, comfortable sheets and large fluffy towels for the bath. Cons: 1. Room unbelievably small. SO small in fact there was no place for 2 suitcases. I had to put my suitcase on the floor at the foot of the bed, and had to remember to step over it in the dark while making a trip to the toilet. I have stayed in several European cities, and this was by far the smallest room I have ever been in. The bathroom was a nice size and very comfortable. 2. Hot-- we had to leave the windows open which meant there is literally no sleep because of the noise (and not partying type of noise-- just people talking or a tv playing in the next room who also had their window open). 3. Noise-- as soon as the breakfast area opens at 730am expect to get no more sleep. There is NO sound proofing or insulation so you hear EVERYTHING from surrounding rooms, and areas. I heard entire conversations in the room next door (at 130am) as well as TV's ,and even a Mom singing her baby to sleep. Again, no one was being excessively loud, so there was no reason to complain-- just very little on the way of sound proofing one room from the others or the common areas. If I come to London again I will try another hotel.

What an unexpected treat. On arrival was upgraded to a luxury room with four poster bed, huge bathroom, wood floor, and excellent overall fittings. Also had free wifi. Continental breakfast was also much better than one usually finds. Best value room had in many visits to Bayswater or Paddington hotels.

This is a great little hotel which is very well priced in expensive London. It might help to pay the little extra and go for the bigger rooms as the standard rooms can be small. There is no elevator so it may not suit those with lots of luggage. Breakfast is simple but quite adequate. It is clean comfortable and the staff is friendly. We have stayed there many times and have been happy with the service.

Room Tip: Rooms can be small if ones for standard. We found even the front rooms to be quite quiet.

This was our first stay at the Linden Hotel and we would definately stay there again. The staff were very friendly, and made you feel welcome. The room was very clean, big and with all that you needed for a short visit. The breakfast was much better then we were expecting, a good selection.

This is the second time I've stayed here and loved it just as much. Again was upgraded on request as they do if they have a spare room.
The staff are always friendly, helpful as can be, and very courteous. iPod dock wasn't working so they changed it immediately, my iPod was out of charge so they charged it for me.
The rooms are lovely and interestingly decorated (unlike boring chain hotels) with stunning bathrooms. Very clean, lovely white Egyptian cotton sheets. There is a lovely peaceful patio area to the rear.
Continental breakfast was more than adequate, the boiled eggs were overdone and they only have skimmed milk instead of whole, but that's all I can find to say negatively about this wonderful hotel at a very fair price considering it's location. I'll be back!
Recommend you go to the China Palace for dim sum 5 mins walk away on Queensway near Bayswater tube.
Thank you New Lindon staff :-)

Room Tip: There is a family room 109, facing the rear, I like this one as it's quiet, faces the rear, and...
