Second time here since first visit perhaps a year earlier. New sommelier, and perhaps the three-course menu increased by a a pound or two. But the same Michelin-starred dedication to food and service. Medlar isn't cheap--beware the siren call of the wine list--but is remains a bargain compared to the many more expensive, and often inferior, competitors in London. I really don't think you can have a bad experience here. Reservations strongly advised.

Upstairs is a small private dining room, a lovely space for a special party, light and airy with windows overlooking the King's Road. Our party of 8 was full of praise for every aspect of the experience - attentive but not intrusive waiting staff, expert advice on wine and completely delicious food. I am a great fan of Medlar and I am struggling to find adequate superlatives to praise everyone there enough for last night's dinner. It deserves another star!

The restaurant is located at the quieter end of the king's road. Small entrance with nice deco inside. We went for the 3-course lunch. It was absolutely delicious. I had the duck egg tart as a starter. It was delicious. The fried duck egg on top of the lovely pastry. Can't be any better. The main I had was grilled monkfish with tomatoes. It's delicious, closer to Italian food because of the tomato sauce. The dessert I had was raspberry tart with clotted cream. The clotted cream was smooth matches well with the sourness from the raspberry. I asked to take away the chocolate truffle they gave out for free, and they offered to give me more to take away. We had a great Saturday lunch there

Excellent food very reasonably priced, the cooking is innovative, interesting combinations and very well presented. The staff are very competent, welcoming and super friendly, we have been a three or four times now and I look forward to my next visit. Fabulous value for money, a super dining experience.
Medlar is also dog friendly.

We've dined here multiple times over the last two years and it is one of our favorite restaurants in London. The staff are welcoming and attentive, the sommelier highly knowledgeable; and most importantly, the food is delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, they are very accommodating if you are a gluten free diner. Highly recommended.
