My Daughters and I had a very happy overnight stay at The Queens Gate Hotel, spacious room for the 3 of us, and brilliant staff, very nice lunch and breakfast. We came for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and couldn't have found a more convenient Hotel. We would recommend The Queens Gate to anyone, and would choose it again. Big thanks to all. B Tillyer

Stayed a week in this hotel with my Mum and sister and we had a three beded room. Room was clean and spacious (enough to fit in 9 pieces of luggage). Great location, close to two tube stations. But, our only complaint was the staff throughout our stay (could do with some more customer service training).

We stayed for one night following a concert at the Royal Albert Hall and found that the hotel was more than adequate for our needs. We liked the spacious room with a little table and chairs and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a very modern feel to it, including the lounge which seemed to be in the foyer. The bar was very small and there was a tiny outside seating area. We were particularly impressed with the staff at breakfast who worked very hard to ensure the buffet breakfast items were constantly replenished. We liked the continental options for breakfast, e.g. cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs etc. as well as the more usual hot food which also included croques monsieur. The little pastries were delicious and plentiful as was the freshly squeezed orange juice. We were on the 4th floor and noticed that some rooms are by the lifts which it might be best to avoid. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Dear krhBedfordshire,

Thank you very much for your fantastic comments about our hotel. We could not be happier to read that we have won over a yet another customer and we are looking forward to welcoming you and your family in the hotel in the future.

I am very pleased to hear that our close proximity to RAH and other great attractions in the area made your stay so much more enjoyable. Our location is indeed one of our strongest points and most of our guests find it to be an extra touch which adds to their stay.

Your kind words about the variety and quality of our breakfast are most appreciated and I will make sure to pass these comments on to the restaurant staff. They do indeed work very hard during the breakfast hours to provide our clients with the highest standards of service.

I am thrilled to hear that you found your room to be clean, quiet and comfortable. Our housekeeping staff always try to do their best to assure all our customers leave the hotel satisfied.

I truly hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back at the hotel in the future. Please contact us directly for best rates and availability.

We enjoy old-world charm and top-notch quality in the places we stay. At first glance, this place fell a little short. However, the longer we stayed, the more we liked the room. The room is very modern, which is not our style, and the table, mirror and floor all had chips or sections missing. That being said, the beds were comfortable and room/facilities were clean. The staff were all nice, though not as friendly as other places we stayed on this trip. All in all, it was a good place to stay for 3 nights while in London. It's a bit pricey, but for being in the posh-section of London, it was probably cheaper than most in the area

Dear KTSanders,

First of all, thank you very much for writing to us. I am extremely pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We intend to provide our customers with the best service we can offer and I am thrilled to learn that our hard work has gained a new customer in you.

It is a pleasure to read you enjoyed staying at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. After the recent refurbishment, we managed to add modern finishings to a splendor Victorian decor of an old 19th century townhouse. I do understand that your tastes may differ, however I was thrilled to read that regardless of it we managed to win yours over during your stay with us.

We are absolutely delighted to hear that our location was so convenient for your travel purposes. I am equally pleased to read that you specially enjoyed the comfort of our beds and found our hotel to be reasonably priced comparing our competitors in the area. Your remarks are much appreciated.

Please do not hesitate to contact us in the future when you decide to visit us again for the rates and availability.

Kind regards,

Assistant manager

I've stayed here for the last 3 weeks for work (4 nights per week). Having stayed at half a dozen other similar hotels in the area in the last few months this one is the best of the lot.
Rooms are large by London standards, clean and well appointed. Room service has a limited choice but is good and cheap. Breakfast is OK - limited choice but what there is is good (its very continental in theme).
I would have given the hotel 5/5 if there weren't a few niggles over the weeks, eg. The 2 lifts are not connected so you find yourself waiting whilst they both go to the same floors, as I arrived for 1 week my bathroom supplies of shower gel and shampoo had run out, the air con in 1 week defaulted to warm making it hard to cool the room.
Overall though this is a good hotel and I have already booked to go back.
