Comfort Inn Hyde Park
Ranked #557 of 1,077 Hotels in London

Fortunately, we stayed only one night. This is not truly a Comfort Inn brand. Rooms are extremely small (smallest we've ever encountered in London), including lobby, hallways, and elevator. Location is convenient to Bayswater and Queensway tube stops. That's about the only plus. No real value; spend a little more and get a real hotel or B&B.

We spent 5 nights at the Comfort Inn Hyde Park and were very pleased. The size of our room was adequate (large queen/king bed) but no extra chairs for sitting (just used the bed). There was a nice footstool which could be used at the dressing stand area, nice for the ladies. There was enough room to store all our luggage out of the way. Breakfasts were excellent (not a hot breakfast, but plenty of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, breads, milk, juices, etc.) and the breakfast lady was very nice. Our evening front desk host lady was also very helpful with directions and other suggestions as we needed them, plus she was very accommodating in printing out boarding passes and other confirmations as we needed them (just emailed them to the hotel). The best part was how convenient this hotel's location is to 2 major Tube stops (Queensway and Bayswater), both within 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Plust the hotel is not on the "busy" Queensway street, but a very quiet 2 blocks away. Very easy to commute for business or touring to any part of London, via the Tube.
We highly recommend this hotel, which we chose as opposed to staying at a B & B in London, and we were not disappointed.

As others have mentioned the room is small even for European standards. My wife and I have sailed on cruise ships before so we kept telling ourselves that would be the size of our room. So when we arrived we were surprised to find the rooms much larger than that. We recently spent nine wonderful days here with our only complaint being the comfort of the mattress. The room was very clean and well kept. Every single person at the front desk was very friendly and did their best to help us with any questions we had regarding bus, tube transportation or just general questions about the area.
We originally wanted a hotel with the full English breakfast, but were well pleased with the continental style here at the hotel. Cereals, milk, fruit, yogurt, breads, jellies and marmalade, croissants, juices and coffees. Certainly a healthier choice than the English breakfast, and held us over most of the day.
The hotel is in an excellent location right across the road from Hyde Park. You're just a few minutes walk to either the tube station or bus stops. Several restaurants and convenience stores are also just minutes away. Most cities I would think twice about going out at night. In this neighborhood of Bayswater, that was never a concern.
I can understand other reviewers complaining about the room size. If you plan on staying in the hotel room a lot then I would stay elsewhere. But if you want a good value hotel, in a great neighborhood then look no further!

Because this hotel was located in Hyde Park we were a bit surprised at the type of place this turned out to be. The staff was very seedy, not very helpful and just plain strange. The cleanliness of the room was not up to par with any sort of Comfort Inn standards and the amenities were limited. The room, of course, was very small but that is made clear upon booking and you're in London, can't expect much for the price. I would not recommend this hotel and neither will I stay here again.

Great locatioin: great staff - all friendly & helpful: excellent room on top floor: plenty of food for breakfast: WiFi included: ideally located for use with London Pass & Travelcard: plenty of local shops nearby for food and tourist needs. We stayed for 6 nights. Unfortunately, we too ended up with a compromised credit card which had to be cancelled due to the same 'scam' that Steve W was caught with. Our booking was direct with the Hotel through the Comfort Inn Website (Also made from Australia - isn't beating us in the Ashes tests enough of an insult!?!). We went through the same payment process as Steve - who alerted us to his problems, so we were able to check our card payments. No obvious chance for fraud at the hotel, but must be something in the system somewhere. Check your card transactions after a day or so in case this problem hasn't been fixed, and ensure you have another card, cash-passport or something to use as a backup. But don't let this put you off - it really was a great place to stay and we had a lovely break in London. We would certainly stay there again if back in London in the future . . and pay with CASH!! Room Tip: Room 504 was certainly large enough for two of us . . but has an interesting tilt on the floor. Sho...

We chose this hotel for the location and the brand, as we have stayed at different Choice Hotels in Canada and the US. The room was small as expected, bathroom was clean and updated. This hotel is close to 2 tube stations, a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and Kensington Gardens.
Pros: The staff is friendly and helpful. They let us check in early and also contacted the car service to the airport. The rooms were clean.
Cons: The hotel overall needs and update. Our bed was terrible, we could feel the springs in our backs and the bed made so much noise if we moved. The bed gave us back problems after. The is no sound proofing, so we heard other guests coming and going as well as in their rooms. The temperature control in the room was odd, it was either too hot or too cold.
This hotel is adequate for an over night stay but not a lengthy stay. Location wise it is fabulous, staff is great but not sure if I could recommend this hotel unless they update their beds.

You pay for what you get, very small bathroom and tight on space in the bedroom, I would not have liked to be sharing, however, location was good, on the top floors it was quiet. I arrived late and left early so only delat with the recepionist who was helpful and efficient.
