Whilst the bed was very comfortable, the particular room we stayed in was not very pleasant. We were put on the lower ground floor, you had to access it by the back stairs as the lifts did not take you directly but through a torturous maze of corridors, even the staff we encountered whilst lost, could not find our room but had to go back to reception again to try to find how to get there. The rooms windows were covered in scaffolding & green mesh, workmen outside and vans parked outside the window. All in all felt like a prison cell, The floor squeaked so loudly it was unbearable and we tried to move about as little as possible. On the plus side the food was very good, the bar etc very pleasant to sit in, no fault there. All in all the lower floor is very substandard and certainly not worth the price they charge.

Room Tip: Never accept a room on the basement floor.

Room Tip: Our room was a twin which consisted of a double and single bed...

On a recent visit from the States, our friends were staying in Kensington but I couldn't quite stomach $150/night. By booking here I easily saved $200+ over my three night stay, well worth it. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the tube, 15 to Putney overground station, and has several bus routes that stop just outside the door. Staff was helpful when I needed help finding the right bus or the closet to keep my bags for a couple hours after checkout. Room was very clean, and had a full and twin size bed. Windows could be opened, which was good because I couldn't figure out how to get the temperature down a bit (I didn't ask the staff, to be fair). Two pillows for the full bed and one for the twin, with two extras on a shelf if you preferred a different firmness. This was a nice touch! Bathroom is smallish, but more than enough room for a family of 2 or 3. We barely knew there were other hotel guests when we were in our room - in other words either they were very quiet guests or the noise control is tip top.

We only ate one meal on site - a buffet breakfast which was nice but certainly not the most economical. I felt it was worth it for one day but wouldn't have done it for all three, partly because full English is too much to do everyday.

We booked to stay here, with a bit of trepidation, knowing what hotels in London can be like - overpriced, not-great standards and with soul-destroying service. However, the PI at Putney Bridge surprised us!

We chose it, due to the great location for proximity to Putney Bridge station, the overland up the hill and some of my friends living in Putney; and the fact that we wanted to head in to the West End to do some Christmas shopping!

On arrival on Friday evening, check-in was swift, and the room was just around the corner, on the ground floor. It was very spacious - suitable for disabled guests, with lower bed, and bathroom fittings, and a large window to ground level. (Two watch outs, the mirror didn't go high enough for me, at 6ft 1, to see in without bending a little bit and the large window looks right in to the restaurant, so make sure the curtains are closed if the light is on!)

It was spotless, even the top of the door frame was dust-free (too much Hotel Inspector on a Monday night here!). The only issue we really had, was that the staff seemed to more around the building via a metal fire escape on the side of the building, which was quite noisy.

When we checked out, the receptionist, Lucie, asked if everything had been ok, and we mentionned the noisy steps, and she quickly introduced the 'good night guarantee' and said she would refund that night's room charge! It wasn't a complaint, merely a passing comment, but we were grateful for the reimbursement, and would definitely stay at this hotel again!

I have visited this hotel on several occasions and the staff are always helpful and friendly, especially the manager. It is ideally situated near to Putney Bridge station. the breakfasts, as in all Premier Inns sets you up for the day. he restaurant has been modified and has a cosy feel to it. Better than many hotels double the price.
