Definitely not a three-star hotel! Staff was unfriendly, disinterested and unhelpful. Although they advertised on the web that there was a restaurant that served breakfast and dinner, no meals were available. The carpet in our tiny room was stained and there were slits in the mattresses. The rooms were so small that two people could not pass each other. Our room also had a musty odour, as did the reception. Fresh towels and sheets were dropped on the hallway floor where everyone walked. We moved to a much better hotel the next morning.

I have stayed in some bad hotels in the past but this one is terrible.

The receptionist was not helpful and insisted on payment in cash (yes cash they do not accept card payments) before giving us the keys and had to be prompted to provide the correct receipt.

The lift is unsafe and slams its doors on guests. The doors to the rooms are not secure and do not lock properly.

The rooms themselves need a thorough deep clean. A lot of dust everywhere and the bathroom is tired. There was spot mold around the shower and the walls were yellowed. The room requires refurbishment with no usable curtains and the kettle has no usable socket.

Avoid this hotel if you can, it's not with the cheap prices. Although the location is superb.

Disgusting. Absolutely filthy, rooms like they'd pinched the accessories from a skip, nothing been cleaned or hoovered for years. Because it was marathon weekend they had the cheek to charge £120 for 1 night. After being in the place for 10 minutes I wouldn't pay £1.20 per night, and that is NOT an exaggeration. Seriously considering sleeping in the car. For those who have seen the series - Fawlty Towers would be 5*+ compared to this dump. It really is bad. Had to pay £10 deposit for the tv remote and when we went to pay for this we mentioned that there was no plug for the bath or sink to which they replied "we dont have plugs for the bath or sink for fear of guests flooding the bathrooms. If you want a bath, please shove toilet roll or anything else into the plug hole to it block up" can you believe that?! The homeless guy that I gave a to earlier is absolutely beside himself laughing at me tonight whilst he sleeps outside and I'm here :-/ Please don't believe other comments that the breakfast was a full English or that is was even nice. It was a stale croissant and a cup of coffee (to be fair, the coffee was actually nice). Walls are paper thin, you can hear people from the floors above as well as next to you. Good luck if you book here - you'll need it!!

Room Tip: Want a good room?? Don't book here!!

£60 per night for the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in London.
Leaking bathroom, Bed covers that were dirty and soiled - No toilet roll in room
Leaking and dripping bathroom.
Damp on the ceiling.
Breakfast consisted of stale crosisants and bed roll and cornflakes, coffee was not drinkable.
Kettle that had to be put on the floor to use with no spoon to stir - used a toothbrush to mix my sugar.
Staff were rude and unhelpful.
Be warned a stay in this Hotel will ruin your holiday.

my family stayed here. our uncle visited us early in the morning to join us on our sightseeing. He was accused of having stayed over for the night! We tried to explain that they were wrong but the staff were so nasty it was unbelievable. They said my elderly grandmother was 'crazy', to her face, when she tried to explain that they were wrong. It was said with hand gestures, right in her face, in the most hateful way! We left to stay in another hotel. The disgusting staff ruined our holiday. They have no respect for their customers and have no human values - please do yourself a favour and don't stay here. Their harrasment of us was so bad that I called the police - of course they couldn't come out because in London there are too many things going on that are more important, but all I can do now is to warn you not to stay here, it is a nasty, disrespectful place with no manners. I could say so much more, like the fact that you have to ask the impolite reception staff for a toilet roll as the room was not supplied with one! People like this simply don't deserve customers - please don't justify their actions with your custom. The Apollo hotel is simply disgusting!
