There were two vegetarian options. A veg pie or goats cheese salad. I chose the salad and all I can say is that they are lacking in imagination. Having enjoyed some delicious salads in other places I was extremely disappointed, completely lacking in creativity. My husband enjoyed the steak and ale pie. But we shan't go there again. Not everyone is a meat eater!

Had a Saturday lunch in the bar here and liked it so much we went back the following day for a Sunday lunch. We loved this traditional pub, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. No loud music which is a bonus when you want to sit and chat. The food is good quality, good value and unpretentious. The roast lunches were great; beef, saddle of lamb and turkey were all fabulous - all the trimmings and plenty of fresh veg. The only mild complain was they were a bit too generous for us to manage every last mouthful! There is a great selection of beers in the two bars including a very delicious pale ale. Highly recommended but please don't all rush there - it wasn't heaving and that's the way we like it!

Went in twice over the weekend. Excellent ales, good food, friendly staff and no background music - everything I want from a pub. Also, just off the beaten track so not inundated with tourists. We will be back - a great pub.

We dined here on a Monday night. The service was friendly, the beer was great and the food was OK. The sandwiches were very good, the sausage and mash were good, the steak and ale pie was a bit disappointing.

This is just far enough away from London Bridge to avoid the crowds of office workers / tourists , doesn't have music or TV but does gave excellent beers, friendly staff and an old fashioned decor which is ideal if what you want is a quiet pint of dark mild in a proper boozer.
