We received a wonderful welcome from Peter, before we had even made it to the front door, greatly appreciated your assistance with our luggage upstairs. It was certainly nice to settle in with complimentary cuppa & cakes in our rooms.

We felt like we had arrived in a very special home in a wonderful part of London.

We booked both bedrooms as we were travelling with our daughters, both were beautifully decorated, the double room was cosy & ideal for a couple, the family room was huge with a large double, single & bunk beds, and an ensuite. The rooms were immaculately clean & well looked after. Free WIFI as well.

Breakfast was wonderful, made to order, with all tastes catered for. I love cooked English breakfasts - thank you Peter! The coffee was excellent too. It was delightful looking out into the leafy front garden every morning as we ate.

We dined several times at The Crooked Billet on Wimbledon Common, as recommended by Peter, a great venue for dinner, and well priced. Only a 10 minute walk in a peaceful, very safe area of London, Forest Lodge is located amongst quality homes.

Only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop, with direct routes to Raynes Park station, and Wimbledon tube & mainline stations/shopping areas and Church Road (tennis). Greatly appreciated your advice about various tourist attractions in the City, and looking after delivery of my Cup Final ticket.

Unfortunately we didn’t take the opportunity to use your indoor pool, but thank you for showing me around.

I really enjoyed staying in the family room, and it was with great sadness that 5 days went so quickly.

Thank you so much Peter & Sue for your kind hospitality & friendship. We hope to return one day.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. It was a real delight having you and your family to stay. We are very lucky to live in a beautiful leafy part of London with superb travel to the centre. Peter loves helping people with their questions (if they want help) and is always delighted to offer advice, again if asked. We hope to welcome you back again one day.

My Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights to watch tennis at Wimbledon Championships! On arrival we were greeted by Peter who was very friendly and accommodating. We were in a family room, which was very spacious. The room was very clean and had an en suite, kettle, water and gorgeous little cakes (lovely touch). The breakfasts were delightful, choice from a selection of fruit & cereals followed by a cooked breakfast, which was delicious. The location is ideal for a base whether you choose to go to the tennis, day trip to London or just some R&R required! Sue and Peter are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go back again next year!

My husband & I recently stayed and Forest Lodge B&B when we had a couple of days to chill out and re-charge our batteries. We picked Wimbledon as wanted to go to the tennis while we were there (It was Wimbledon fortnight). Having had a bad journey from the start we managed to get completely lost we spoke with Peter & Sue who were brilliant Sue even rang me back on my mobile and talked us thought the directions while Peter waited outside the property to wave us down so we did not miss it. Having arrived the hosts and accommodation were lovely refreshments in our room even a fridge with cold water. There were toiletries, dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer all supplied. The breakfasts were lovely too with fresh fruit full English breakfast, salmon and shambled eggs, cereals, juices, toast preserves, tea & coffee including De-caff. Peter was very helpful with ideas of places to visit and directions of how to get there even lending us an A-Z. Wish we could have stayed longer hope to visit again one day. Thank-you Peter & Sue.

Thank you for you wonderful review, we enjoyed having you to stay and look forward to welcoming you back. We try to put things in the room which will make our guests stay more enjoyable and we chose the things which we like when we are travelling.

It isn't normally difficult to find us but if you don't have a map, or a satnav, or a phone with a map it makes it a bit harder!! We realised after a couple of attempts to give you directions that it was probably easier and less stressful for you if we just rang you and stayed on the line until you got here!!

Stayed for 7 nights in June 2013. Much better than a hotel in London& with handy transport (Bus stop 2 mins ) and a short train ride London is only 40 minutes or so. The room was great & the breakfast was amazing , I can really recommend the smoked salmon & eggs ,Peter can cook the eggs just perfect. We did lots of walks as Wimbledon common as very close & even Richmond park isnt very far.Plenty of pubs close by & eating places in the village are marvellous. Will stay here again for sure.(make sure you use the pool, so relaxing)

Fabulous review, many thanks. It was lovely to meet you, we get quite a few Australians but very few New Zealanders. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to welcome you back again if you are in London again.

We stayed with Peter and Sue for two nights whilst visiting Wimbledon for the tennis. We had a lovely relaxing time. We were warmly welcomed and given great advice in terms of local places to eat - which we were really happy with. We only used to tube to get to Wimbledon Station and the rest of the time, we walked - to the restaurants and to watch the tennis. The area is perfectly safe and a pleasure to view!

I never sleep well when I am away from home but I slept soundly for the two nights we stayed! The house was so quiet, kept at the right temperature and you are armed with all you might need from wonderful hosts - from dressing gowns to maps to lotions and potions!

We had a swim while we were there and watched the tennis in the comfort of the pool! Great exercise was had, swimming against the jet!

The breakfast was varied and more than enough. Every desire was catered for.

Peter gave great advice and we spent a little time getting to know him better which all added to our overall enjoyment of our stay. We would happily return to Forest Lodge - definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed in London.

A credit to Peter and Sue :-)

Thank you for a great review. So glad you slept well, it is very quiet here & we love living in Wimbledon. Our road is one of the quietest in Wimbledon and many of our guests comment on how leafy it is.

That is marvellous that you liked the restaurant recommendations, we only recommend somewhere we have been to ourselves, like and have favourable comments from guests.

We hope to be able to welcome you back again one day.

We stayed 3 nights for Wimbledon, Peter is lovely he can't do enough for you, his breakfast is stunning, I have never seen poached eggs look so pretty and I have stayed in a number of places and his eggs by the reviews made previously live up to them. Wimbledon itself is a 10 minute bus journey can be caught just up the road from the accomodation and are every 5-6 minutes up to midnight. The location is so quiet and I have to say safe to walk about late at night without concern, It was so nice after a hectic and tiring day to come back to such a quiet place. I cannot fault anything and will stay there each time we come to London even if it's not for Wimbledon it is that lovely xx There is a also a swimming pool sadly we didn't have time to have a dip but will next time xx The cakes are also lush and a lovely touch x

Room Tip: Which ever room you have it will most definitely be quiet - we stayed in the room with bathroom oppo...

What a lovely review. Peter is getting very embarrassed by the wonderful comments about his breakfasts. We had one set of guests who announced on arrival "we are only here for the breakfasts"

We do try to offer a personal service and make people feel at home and relaxed. We are very lucky to meet such amazing guests - thank you for coming to stay with us.

We stayed at Forest Lodge as a good base to visit Wimbledon tennis from and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The family room we stayed in was lovely, Peter was a great host, and the breakfast was excellent. Couldn't have asked for more. We'd all definitely stay there again if we get the chance. And the taxi was only £10 to the start of the tennis queue at 5am.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and the tennis. It was an amazing year. We ended up watching the final in the pool (our lucky guests all had centre court tickets!). We hope to welcome you back again one day.
