“Proper high-class kebabs”

We ate in at this kebab restaurant and had a fantastic meal. It's not your typical High Street kebab shop, they use beautiful fresh ingredients and, although you pay for the privilege, you end up with a wonderful tasting kebab.

“Great value healthy food”
Reviewed 16 June 2011

The Marmaris restaurant is principally a take away counter with a small, simply furnished cafe/ restaurant behind . The cuisine is Turkish and although it is essentially a kebab shop (and most people go there for this) the mixed meze is actually vegetarian. The meze is excellent, featuring stuffed vine leaves, spinach and cheese parcels, and lots of other really tasty and delicious turkish treats, and cost just under £6 per person. The place is unlicenced but you can take a bottle (no corkage) This friendly little neighbourhood restaurant is great if you are looking for somewhere inexpensive in Balham. It is not somewhere to make for if you are on the other side of London or for a special occasion, however it has a good atmosphere, friendly staff and is full of locals.
