“Great location”

I travelled to london for sightseeing , great location for everything and bus tours stop right outside .. Hotel itself was busy especially the breakfast room but great food and easy to get a table . Right round the corner well a 10 min easy walk from kings cross station

Room Tip: Ask for one with out a street view and not overlooking main entrance if you want a quiet nights slee...

I booked the Royal National in spite of some sketchy reviews and was pleased to find that our room looked like a recent renovation, no problem there. We had a small plumbing issue with the faucet in the bathroom but they sent someone up to fix it very quickly. Our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was very crowded on the weekend, but they opened another restaurant so the wait was eliminated. It is a HUGE hotel, so this is likely a regular occurrence. The only real problem we had was getting wifi in the lobby. This was likely our devices, though, since everyone else seemed to have no issues. We went around the corner to Starbucks for checking back with home. The location is awesome and the prices great so go for it!

It didn't work in the rooms, but in the lobby. But only when "they wanted it to work". It's a shame in this age of connectivity.

That is my only complaint.

The breakfast was good, the cleanliness was ok, and the location was good, close to the Underground and at walking distance from many attractions.

Good Location, Close to the airport, and Tube
Staff were really friendly
We were booked in a twin room with 2 single beds, the staff were happy to swap the room , so My husband and i could have a double room.
As we were going on Contiki the basement is just below making ti really easy when making arangements for tours.
As well as having access to the Lockers downstairs, while we went on to travel around Europe for the next 3 weeks.

The hotel is very centraly situated, everything is within the walking distance: Covent Garden, Leicester square, New Oxford street, British Museum.....Rooms are comfortable and very clean and staff is very kind. There is a restaurant where you can have dinner and the food is good. If you are staying in London for a few days it's the right place.

Room Tip: Book on line because it's cheaper.

after reading previous reviews we were a bit wary of what to find at the hotel .we got there wednesday about 12.30 and were origionally told we werent allowed to chek in until 3 but we got to the desk and hey ho the room was ready .up on the 7th floor we went ,nice clean and spacious twin room .very nice clean bathroom also ,telly was a bit dated but worked .the staff in the pavillion resteraunt need to go on a course for manners .very surley and un friendly ,the evening meal was very poor decent enough choice but poor in quality .the breakfast is self service and not a great deal of choice ,plenty of eggs though ,toast always cold and soggy ,the hotel is ideally situated for the tube and it is an ideal location for getting around london .every worker in the hotel was foreign and we struggled to understand them ,the only staff who were pleasant and spoke to us and smiled were the cleaners on a morning they were lovely ,i would stay here again as its central, just wouldnt eat here

Room Tip: we had no noise up on the 7th floor room 7060

We read the reviews for this hotel and were not expecting it to be too good but were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, tidy, beds were comfortable enough and its in a very good location Tube station just round the corner and bus stops outside, Staff were very helpful and though mainly foreign all spoke English very well. As reviewers have said it is a massive hotel but you soon find your way round. We would go back with no hesitation
