“Tasty meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2013

Disorientated and jet lagged we stumbled into this restaurant from a courtyard rather than via the main entrance. It was early evening and the restaurant was very quiet. Staff were friendly and the wild mushroom risotto, although it looked insipid, was surprisingly tasty and very filling.

“Delicious”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2013

We initially booked here because we were staying at the hotel and through our booking were entitiled to a free dinner. We figured that since we were arriving that day, it would be perfect to just eat at the hotel. After making the reservation I came upon a review in the Guardian newspaper that ripped it to shreds. We discussed canceling based on this review and boy am I glad we didn't. The food and waitstaff exceeded our expectations. Delicious from beginning to end. I cannot even imagine what that reviewer had that was so awful but absolutely everything we ate was outstanding. I recommend it whether staying at the hotel or not.

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2013

We booked this restaurant because it came with a package from American Express. After doing some research I saw a very negative review in The Guardian paper. I really considered canceling based on this but am SO happy I didn't. The food was outstanding. Every dish we had was better than the next. I ordered the fish and it could not have been better. Glad we went. Wonderful atmosphere and outstanding service combined with fabulous food.

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2013

A hotel restaurant that understandably has limited usage. Waitresses do not understand English and cannot comprehend or execute orders. Food adequate though the recipe for a first course of potted seafood is unusual, to say the least. Go to The Ritz or to The Goring to see successful hotel restaurants operate. Restaurant lacks customers and ambience. A hotel of this acclaim should have crisp white linen table clothes with full sized napkins, not place mats on glass top-tables. Good wine list.
