Often go here for coffee and nibbles. It's a lovely space with friendly staff.
Went for Sunday lunch-food was just ok, although desserts were great and beautifully presented.
Good portion sizes. Expensive.

I'd settled on a superior room at this place because a) I like their chain of boutiquey top-end pubs, b) it was a fair price, c) good location for my plans and d) it had a bathtub.

The staff on-site and the events organiser ladies were all incredibly helpful as I had a few weird requirements. Basically, everything was perfect - the friendly but professional atmosphere, the room comfort and quality, the breakfast and the lunch for 11 people we had the next day. The St Emilion they have on the menu is worth a visit on its own.

My aim was to find a special treat with this base as a central, but quiet, little bolthole. It absolutely delivered.

Room Tip: There are 2 superior rooms. G is to the front (where we stayed), H towards the back (which I had che...

I wanted to rest and enjoy London for an evening en route from Central Asia to the U.S. The Grazing Goat delivered! The room was lovely, stylish, yet very functional and immaculate. The staff were outstanding. They went out of their way to handle my bags, and I found extra fans already running in my room upon my arrival, which coincided with a terrible heat wave. There was some noise from a party downstairs, but it didn't bother me. The late night revelers were certainly enjoying themselves, but they were courteous and not at all obnoxious (unlike some other pubs and up-scale establishments in the area). Last but definitely NOT least, the food downstairs was exceptional! What a perfect, relaxing stay!

Room Tip: This is an inn, not a hotel. Expect fewer amenities, but those services which are offered come with...

First this is in a great location, just behind Oxford Street but in a small road. A room at the front is still noisy though and we had to keep the window closed. Never mind there are fans, but these are 'industrial' like some of the style of the room and were very noisy (the kettle also sounded like a steam train).
The room is well thought out, a good size, and very well appointed with a large excellent bed. It's a trendy look with lots of raw wood and iron. Personally if I was the designer I'd 'wash' the wood walls to soften them and add sisal carpet to deaden noise (especially for those sleeping below).
The shower room is great with a very spacious shower and those toiletries are gorgeous - a change from Molton Brown and L'Occitane.
We had breakfast in the very nice bar downstairs where there is an extensive menu. The staff are friendly and patient and I can recommend the Eggs Benedict - Yummy! Other couples were enjoying lingering over their breakfast. A free top up of coffee for guests would be nice, please note!

Room Tip: Tell them you want a quiet one! If you don't like too many stairs tell them that too.

A 4 night stay for the Taste of London festival was very pleasant indeed.

Nice room, great pub and food was first class (if pricy). Breakfasts in particular were excellent.

The fans in the room cooled things down a little but were, naturally, noisy.

Would definitely stay again

Recently completed a 10 day stay in London. We stayed at a different hotel but decided to eat at this hotel's restaurant/pub on two occasions. We tend to eat dinner early (before 6) as opposed to most as it seems those in the U.K. and Europeans in general tend to eat dinner later in the evening. The restaurant is usually packed by after 7 or 8 and it can get quite loud. On our first visit, we had the burgers and chips. Burgers were very good, nice soft bun but the chunky chips were the best I tasted. The wine was good and so was the chocolate trifle and sorbet for dessert. Next visit we went on a Sunday for the Sunday Roast. Meat was done well, and great tasting Yorksires. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, good food and service.

I have stayed here three times as its convenient for the West End. This was a business trip but I have stayed with my wife previously for a leisure break. The hotel has pros and cons. Pros: Location excellent, restaurant, cool funky with great food and atmosphere, staff friendly and free wifi. Cons: Because this is a townhouse hotel, the rooms are close together. I was awoken, not for the first time as someone checked out at 5.30am and crashed down the stairs with suitcases and doors slammed. The rooms tend to be cold in winter and hot in summer. No aircon and the heating does not quite do it. The rooms are quaint, serviceable, clean but not spectacular. But the price is about right, given this is London. I recommend a room at the rear as the street can get a bit noise ( albeit a side street) if you sleep lightly.
