Very peaceful. The best night's sleep I have experienced in any establishment away from home. Staff friendly and efficient. Breakfast excellent and good choice. Our second visit. It was ideal for our requirements and i would highly recommend it. If you wish you can have an alcoholic drink and the wfi was excellent.

Exceptional value - £95 including breakfast in an executive room.

Location was perfect for us. Easy to find.

The room was spacious with tea and coffee laid on.

The bed was very comfortable - slept like a baby.

Bathroom was standard size with decent shower.

If I was visiting London again I would look this place up first.

Breakfast was continental and did the job nicely.

Staff were friendly and efficient.

Stayed here for just the one night whilst on a business trip. A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice, and an evening meal was put on, which was plentiful. There is a private secured car park which is a bonus if you are driving, and the DLR is just around the corner. Would definitely stay here again if coming to London. One thing missing was a tv in the room, but there is free wifi.

I stayed overnight before some business meetings. I had a very restful night and an excellent breakfast before settling down for a couple hours preparation for the day ahead. The free wifi, a functional chair and desk, and the peace made a perfect temporary office. The staff were friendly and helpful. I couldn't fault anything here. I am most grateful!

Room Tip: Pay the small additional cost and get a view over the garden.

Staying at The Royal Foundation of St Katherine was, for me, a revelation in London accommodation. I don't think I've ever stayed in London, at any hotel, and wished to stay on longer. in fact it's the single factor that's put me off visiting London - over priced and well below standard accommodation (for the money at least) .
RFSK's actually provides what it says it will - and it really is a peaceful little haven in the midst of the big city. The rooms are immaculately clean and very spacious - I've paid double the money for half the space in other London hotels ! There's organic/fair trade teas and coffee in the room, plentiful towels and pillows . . everything you might need. The staff are helpful and polite, there's a secure car park, there's a beautiful garden, plentiful breakfast . . . it's simply the best place I've stayed in London - without any doubt.

We stayed one night as we were going to the O2 for a concert. St Katherine's is easily reached by public transport and DLR is handy. On the first day we walked from Paddington and had lunch at the Old Cheshire Cheese. A lovely old fashioned pub with good food. We walked on a bit further and got the bus to Limehouse and walked to St Katherines. In the evening we took a Thames clipper on the river to the O2. On the way home via Paddington we walked into central London on the 2nd day visiting a synagogue, Tate Modern, being real tourists looking at all the sights. This is a lovely place to stay, very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms with garden views with a history going back centuries. Continental breakfast was very good. There is also parking and Wifi and the cost is reasonable. We will gladly stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view.

I have stayed at St Katherine's both as part of a group at a confernece there and another time aloneon London for professional reasons. It is a lovely and welcoming setting. It is easy to reach by public transportation. When I was at the group meeting we had a meal at St Katherine's, though I believe this is only possible for groups who request that in advabce. The breakfast is available to everyone every day and that allows a lot of choice and excellent quality. The garden is lovely (I had a garden room) and the chaple is always open. The one negative comment I can make is that the location doesn't seem particularly convenient for interesting restaurants. I used one suggested by St Katherine's with a discount for those staying at St Katherine's, but I didn't find it to my liking at all. Perhaps it is just that I don't know Limehouse well enough.

Room Tip: a garden room is always preferable
