Stayed for four nights with family. The hotel itself is modern and well appointed. Rooms a reasonable size, and had air conditioning, which worked perfectly during a very hot summer visit. Breakfast was good in terms of choice and quality, and hotel provides a choice of free papers and free wifi. The hotel is very convenient to Victoria Station - a five minute walk away. The area has lots of good restaurants - from chains such as Giraffe and Nando's, to lots of independents. The hotel is also close to theatres for Wicked and Billy Elliott, and anyone going to Buckingham Palace.

Got there very early, was able to leave luggage and go sightsee. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff friendly and approachable, even at midnight, when you forget your room number! Beds very comfortable.

I booked a night into the Park Plaza Victoria and specifically booked a room where I would have some seating and working area screened off from the bed. I booked an 'executive studio' room because, in the hotel's photographs, it showed a room that had a nice little seating, working alcove. When I checked in, what I got was basically a normal double room with a sofa under the window instead of a chair. Maybe there's a few extra feet, maybe not, but it was nothing at all like the photograph titled 'executive studio'. I went downstairs to inquire if this was, in fact, the room I'd booked, but the woman at the desk said it was.

It's not that the room is unpleasant. It just isn't what I wanted or expected or what is advertised in the photograph as an executive studio, I would have booked something else.

Well, live and learn.

Room Tip: There's a lot of traffic noise on the second floor. Didn't really bother me, but if noise does, I'd ask for a higher floor.

Dear Remittancegirl

Thank you for taking the time out to write this review.

Some of our executive rooms have a slightly different layout than what is advertised on the website due the room size however I can confirm that they still offer the same extra amenities as the others.

I would like to apologise if you found this misleading and should you wish to discuss this in more details please feel free to contact me on 020 7769 9999.

Kind Regards

Rob

The proximity to Victoria Station and Tube makes this hotel a winner. Also being out of the tourist hot spots is an advantage. Good choice of restaurants and services nearby - super market Dry Cleaner. Park Plaza offer excellent value for monist

Nothing super special, but fully acceptable. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, and I found the service to be efficient and very friendly. Lobby bar is particularly attractive, but drinks are very expensive.

Note that the free WiFi is limited to 512k so don't plan on streaming video or music unless you're willing to pay extra.
