“Wonderful hotel”
Reviewed 8 October 2012 via mobile

Truly exceptional hotel in a great location close to tube station and walking distance to top class shops, bars and restaurants. Wonderful friendly helpful staff. The room we stayed in (room 2) was beautiful and large. Overall 10 out of 10, we can't wait to come back for another child free weekend at the fox club!

Stayed in July 2012
We booked this very last minute for a sunday night and got a suite for £140. The bedroom was massive and full of character (massive fireplace and mirror), with a small living room attached and a gorgeous bathroom. Molton Brown tolietries most appreciated. Bed was very comfy and king size.

We had a few drinks in the bar and the staff were friendly. Bar was very quiet as it's members only. Location wise, close to Green Park tube and in safe area with plenty of restaurants. We had breakfast and it was cheap for the location.

Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Suites aren't typical 'suites' with large second room, but still good size for location...

Excellent rooms with a nice little bar. Its a private member bar so no 'general public' allowed.
Rooms are clean well furnished. large enough with a nice bathroom.
Location is very good as well.
Breakfast wasn't all that bad either.

Only complaint, thought its a little over priced.

The hotel has a really good location, just a few minutes walk from Green Park station, Fortnum and Mason and Picadilly Circus but tucked away on a side street so it's fairly quiet. I would describe it as a boutique B&B rather than a hotel. When you arrive you have to ring a bell and be let in which is due to it being a private member's club. The rooms have lovely high ceilings and the bed was really big and comfortable, apart from the pillows which were too soft for us and there wasn't any other's available as far as we could tell. I paid extra to book a 'suite' and while it was a lovely room it wasn't what I consider a suite. I would expect a suite to have a separate living area, however our room had a sofa in the joining 'corridor' in between the bedroom and bathroom, no TV, table or anything, just a sofa. The bathroom was really nice, a good size with a rainfall shower and deep bath, they also have Molton Brown toiletries. The main bedroom had a lovely fireplace with a big mirror above which was very nice. We were a bit disappointed with how small the TV was but perhaps this is just because we are used to bigger at home. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't better tea and coffee...just Tetley teabags, I would have expected a selection of tea's and probably a better make from a hotel of this standard. The service was really friendly, the kind of place you can sit at the bar and have a chat with them over a drink. We didn't have any food so can't comment on this aspect. Overall it was a really nice hotel and the bad points were only minor ones, however most could be easily fixed to push it up to a really top class hotel.

We stayed here at the end of August 2012. The location is wonderful. OUr room was spacious and quiet. We walked through Mayfair, went shopping on Oxford st, walked to Picadilly circus. Nothing was too much trouble at the fox. Excellent breakfast. Comfy bed and a wonderfully deep bath tub. Although it was a public holiday on the day we flew out, it was no problem for them to organize a taxi to heathrow. All in all an excellent end to our three weeks away.

The Fox Club could not be in a much better place for travellers to London. A couple of minutes walk from Green Park tube station and on a quiet little side street, the hotel is perfect for exploring London's main sights either by foot or by tube.
The rooms are wonderfully decorated to reflect the period nature of the building, with quirky layouts, period features, and stylish decor.
The staff were all friendly, helpful and knowlegeable, welcoming us warmly despite a fairly late check-in, and looking after our luggage for the last day of our trip.
The Fox Club had all the luxury and convenience of a top chain, but with the quirks and charm you only get with independent places. I'd definitely stay again,
