Arrived from kings cross, by taxi, it was literally around £6 and in my book thats better than the underground with luggage. I had been upgraded! The rest of the family had the normal rooms and from what I can gather it wouldn't have been worth paying for it, the only difference was a waterfall shower, a free chunky kit kat and water everyday and a posh armchair. The downside was the room was tiny, bathroom very hot and the bed was rather on the hardside but not bad enough to complain about for the sake of two nights.
The staff were very polite and courteous with a smile on their faces, the breakfast was well worth paying for, ( actually not sure if we got it free but whatever it was wonderful) the first day was lovely, as I am gluten free I had rung to see if they had gf bread, which on the first morning a breadroll all toasted arrived, the next morning it was like getting blood out of a stone, having asked twice it arrived warm fron the microwave, I asked if they could toast it as it was too big to fit in their machine, the bloke obviously didnt believe me and proceeded to use the machine and practically set fire to it!! It then took another 30 mins for another to appear, moral of the story... take your own if gf!! On the whole I was very impressed with the hotel, staff and especially the breakfast and I would recommend it and stay again.
