Within 5 min walk of station - very quiet -hardly any outside noise day or night. Immaculately clean - attentive staff. Breakfast offered excellent choice and hot food regularly topped up. Minor note - bacon a bit anaemic - could be cooked a bit more. Provided many cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, toast, cooked toms, scrambled eggs, sausages (lovely flavour) and bacon, fruit juice and hot drinks. Able to borrow a hairdryer free of charge. Newspaper shop and minimart just around the corner. Plenty of places within walking distance to eat at night. Wi fi available for a small charge - £3 for 24hrs - no problems with connection. Payment is processed online. There are 2 computers in Reception to use for a charge.

Only gripe was the room was very hot. We were unable to open the window as it was alarmed. A fan was provided and we needed this on all night - but we would have still provided fresh air. When we checked out and the staff asked us if we were happy with our stay, we said this would have been our only criticism, they explained that the windows are in the process of being changed to enable them to be opened - but not all stickers on the glass had been replaced as yet.

Excellent value for money - ideal to hop on the underground - recommend for business & tourist stays. We stayed 2 nights.

We chose this hotel as we were wanting something close to liverpool street station as it is only a very short walk away. I wasn't expecting much for the price we paid but I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was very clean and a decent size with all the little extras we needed. The room was a little hot but a fan was provided, during the day we left the window open to help cool it down but needed to shut it at night as bins are collected outside early in the morning, this didn't bother us though as to be expected in a city. We walked everywhere from the hotel which can be done if you don't mind a good walk, if not easy to hop on the tube. Handy little cafe/bar in the hotel, we used their takeaway service after a long day of walking. All staff were friendly and helpful. We will be using this travelodge on our next visit to london.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend and it was ideal for our needs. We only paid about £50 per night which for central London in summer we thought was fantastic.
The room was clean and basic, the bathroom was basic with only a shower, sink and toilet, but for the price this was no issue and it suited our needs and we got fresh towels every day. We didn't eat in the hotel, as there was a nearby pub called The Bull which served two full breakfasts for £12 which I would recommend over eating in the hotel. Our only issue was that the rooms were extremely warm, with no air con. We were provided with a fan and were able to open the window slightly, bit the added noise from the fan and some early morning noise from what sounded like bin lorries outside the window still made it difficult to sleep. Reception did offer light bed sheets to help with the heat, and it's possible this problem was due to the fact it was summer and so would be outwith the hotels control. The hotel is less than ten minutes walk from Moorgate tube which is on the Northern Line so we found this a better station than Liverpool Street which is closer. The City location is ideal as there is little noise around the hotel at night and the area is very quiet over the weekend but within ten minutes walk from Shoreditch, so there was plenty of bars, shops, clubs and restaurants (including the amazing curries on Brick Lane) nearby and you won't need to fork out on a cab home after the tube has closed for the night.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, the only reason I can't give top marks is due to the heat in the room, but I'll definitely stay again.

Me and my husband stayed at this hotel last weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was in a great location, only 5 minutes from Liverpool Street Station.

We followed advice from previous reviewers and asked for a room on a higher level. Ours was on the 6th floor and was clean and pleasant. No problems with noise either on the corridors or outside the hotel.

The full breakfast was quite basic but for the money we didn't really mind.

Free wifi for 30 minutes.

Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A short walk from Liverpool Street station, this is an ideal base for visiting many attractions in the city. The rooms are clean and pleasant after the recent refurbishment and everything is easy to find.
Staff response was varied and the self check in was not available when I arrived. As a single female traveller I was concerned that the security was propped open, allowing access to the room
