This is my first review on Tripadvisor. Although I travel quite a bit and stay in hotels for both business and pleasure frequently, I have never felt the need to write a review until now.
I have stayed at the St James and Club Hotel several times now and each time I come to stay, it seems better than the last time.
Obviously it goes without saying that the St James's Hotel and Club is a wonderful boutique hotel. It is beautifully appointed and designed in a warm classic feel with a modern twist. The rooms are not large but this is normal in London. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with the utmost care. The beds are fabulous, among the best I have every slept in, truly an experience The bathrooms are beautiful with a lovely cream and black marble color scheme, with thick heated towels and a little black make up towel for us ladies! These little touches make all the difference, I think. Amazing other hotels have not stolen the simple but great idea of the little black make up towel.
A big plus for me is the hotel's unbeatable location, it is superbly located in the heart of London Mayfair, in a quiet cul de sac, but only a short walk away from high-end shopping and easy access to some of London's finer restaurants and, of course, the theaters. What more could you ask for?...This is my first review on Tripadvisor. All this is well and good, but that is not the reason I keep coming back to this hotel.
My main reasons why this hotel has become the only hotel I stay at when I am in London: the staff, the staff and the staff!
Each and every one of the team at St James's go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as they possibly can. Many hotels around the world have wonderful locations with fabulous views and great amenities, but the service at St James's puts it in a category of it's own for me.
The Head Concierge Madeline and the Head of Front Office John and their respective teams deserve a special mention here. They are always absolutely amazing. Nothing is too much or too difficult, from theater bookings, organizing private tours, to restaurant reservations or putting your name on the guest list of a club.
Their level of service is flawless, almost to a point where they can anticipate your next request. Their professionalism is completed by a sincere warmth that gives you the feeling you are coming home.
I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a hotel with style, a great location, but above all, a team that will go to great lengths to ensure your stay will be nothing short of wonderful! Stay there and you will not be disappointed.More
