We stayed at Threadneedles in August 2011. The hotel itself is perfectly located for the City, situated mid way between Bishopsgate and Bank. At the weekends, the room rates are discounted heavily, and there are some real bargains to be found if you're wanting to stay in this area (about 15 minute walk to Spitalfields market, or about 15 minutes by tube to the west end).
We booked a luxury double room. It was about average size by UK standards, and there was plenty of space to store our luggage. The hotel decor is very pleasant and tidy. The main bar/lounge area is pleasant, although we waited quite a long time for our drinks to arrive. The hotel breakfast is absolutely second to none - we had full english breakfast delivered to the room, and it was very tasty indeed. Absolutely recommended, although not super cheap!More
