“Good quality hotel and pool”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 February 2014

I've stayed at the Grange City several times and haven't been disappointed.

The hotel decor is very nice, with comfortable quality rooms. The rooms are well equipped and the temperature easy to control. There are nice extras like toiletries, water and coffee/tea etc.

I visited the pool which was really nice and had a jacuzzi/sauna.

The hotel is seconds from Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. It's a very iconic part of London and always a great view to take in! Tower Hill tube is also right there.

As it's in The City, it can be quiet at night, so you have to walk a few minutes to find a selection of restaurants. We prefer to cross the bridge and visit the area called "More London" where there are lots of restaurants and great views.

It's a very nice hotel, close to the tube and areas of interest, great for a weekend away especially if you want to use the spa facilities too.

I' ve been here for a weekend with my important one and everything was perfect. Kindest personnel, perfect room, perfect toilet. I cannot say anything else than deeming it as one of the best venue I have resided: no other particulars are needed.

Fantastic stay. Booked through third party (Show & Stay) and were upgraded to a room with grand views of the Tower, Thames & Shard and all very reasonably priced. Very spacious room with sofa's, large flat screen tv and mini bar. Pool, sauna, steam room & jacuzzi lovely too. Never been in an aromatherapy steam room before. The staff couldn't do enough to help even after checking out they offered to hold our luggage whilst we toured the city.
Best hotel I have ever stayed in! ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Feel like we got a really good deal combining this place with a theatre booking.
Very convenient for tube and even the river boats from tower millennium pier, however we discovered that Tower Hill isn't the best tube station to start from if you want a quick trip to the West End at 6pm!

Were given a room on the 8th floor with views of tower and bridge. The layout of the room with armchairs by the floor to ceiling windows really helped us enjoy this fabulous location. (The higher the floor the better the view.)

Room was classy with a very comfy bed and good large tv and felt spacious. Bathroom somewhat cramped by comparison and shower uncomfortable for anyone over 6ft tall. Minibar absurdly overpriced but par for the course I suppose.

Reception were friendly and helpful. No queues at any time during our stay. The continental breakfast was a bit miserly but didn't want to pay £8 each to "upgrade". The coffee served was really poor. Burnt instant I would guess.

The huge swimming pool and steam room, jacuzzi etc are set in a wonderfully lavish Roman baths theme. We felt like Caesars!

Very good location next to the tower, also next to Tower Hill Tube station. Check in was very efficient , although not very welcoming. Only booked a standard room, it was fairly small but very well appointed. The room had plenty of hanging and cupboard space, safe, TV, Bose sound wave, iron, hair dryer, large comfy bed, free wifi, AC, but no robes? The room was very quiet so had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was a nice buffet style with very good service from the staff. Have stayed here before in larger rooms, and having now stayed in the smaller room I would suggest upgrading.

The reception in beautiful, shame about the staff, mainly the blonde lady who looked at me and my partner like we were dirt. We didn't eat here but did have a drink or 2 bar staff were very polite and friendly. We changed room after the superior queen room was far from this. Second room much better. I personally didn't like the decor. The shower was amazing but it was all quite tired looking. It was an ok stay but not sure I would return. The homeless man sat outside was far more charasmatic and friendly.

First placed in the new wing. For a 5* hotel, first impressions were upsetting. Tiny room with a view of a wall. Moved to the old wing, large windows, view better, clean, more what you would expect. Old original furniture with modern elements, nice but money saving! Could do with a full refurb. Bathroom clean but 90s design. All 5* amenities, 4* furnishings. Stayed on a Saturday night, was very loud. This hotel is great for location and would recommend, do not pay rack price.
