We went after seeing this restaurant on the telly and were hoping it had improved. Really slow service, terrible food and not good value for money. We will not be going back!

Arrived unbooked at 8pm on a Friday evening, restaurant was practically empty, so should have heeded our initial instincts and found somewhere else to eat. We were shown to a table in a screened off area and given a wine list but no menu. Waiting staff doing best to avoid eye contact but eventually we managed to get a menu.
The menu was nothing special and we ordered a pizza and a bolognese. The pizza was ok but the bolognese was flavourless and watery. I ordered a glass of rose with my meal and it was undrinkable - vinegar like. At no time were we asked how our food/drinks were. The service was awful.
When we came to pay the bill, there was no awareness that only about a quarter of the food had been eaten, and the wine was untouched, as we were told that they hoped we'd be back. No chance....for pasta in Abbey Mills/Colliers Wood...Frankie & Benny's is a better choice, at least the food's edible!

We were looking forward to seeing the overhaul of this Abbey Mills restuarant after it had been taken in hand by "The Restuarant Inspector" and aired on TV.

Unfortunately not much seems to have changed. There was only a handful of people in there, and were all outside because of th e sun. For a big place it still seems unwelcoming to want to eat in there.

But that was just the start. The menu had apparently been thinned down and improved. They had a promotional set menu advertised on the menu but when we asked about it the manager came over and said it wasn't available because the special offer menu was at the printers - ????!!!!!

We had two pizzas which were average at best, and a bottle of wine which was fine.

When we came to paying for the meal, we were told that the card machine wasn't working. Why tell us at the end of the meal, in a place that has no cashpoints nearby? Luckily we had cash, but I wouldn't have wanted to hang around to wash the dishes if not.

Added to that the toilets weren't very clean and the whole experience just wasn't what we'd expect from a local Italian restuarant. Maybe it was a bad day, but I certainly won't be rushing back...
