Clapham Common is easy to get to by tube, Clapham Common, Clapham South, or bus 37 or 319 and walk up Battersea Rise, the best way to reach the common is by bike and once there you have a plethora or opportunities. The boating lake has a groovy cafe nearby and the bandstand is nearby, too. Take a football and picnic basket, or a baseball bat and tennis ball, it's a great place for kite flying, walking or sitting and chatting and if you are thirsty, the Windmill and Abbeville Road are not far off.

Normally, I go to other parks in my immediate vicinity. However, I recently went to Clapham Common park to meet friends and I realise how many things you can do there. There is a band stand, a park, a cafe, a paddling pool, a fishing spot and the list goes on. Funfairs and festivals visit the park frequently which often draws large crowds. There is a running track and a cycle path to enter and exit the park. This is good from a safety perspective.
If you have time, go and explore .......its worth it!!

Clapham Common is one of local parks and this is the second favourite park after Battersea Park. It is stretching from west to east and providing enough space to breath. What's great about this park to me is it got a nice running track circling path, most of it within the park and there is no need to jobs on the concrete or asphalt. Love the feeling!

Clapham Common is a great park that's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of London to feel quite peaceful, but also great for people watching as it's packed full of all sorts of different people, catching up, relaxing and walking their dogs. There are a couple of cafes in the park and there's a paddling pool for the kids in summer. Worth checking out if you're in the area.
