Quietly tucked away behind the Paddington Train Station is a lovely, peaceful part of London, the Paddington Waterside. The easiest way to get there is to walk down London Street, which is on the right hand side as you look at the main entrance to the train station. Keep heading north and you will find the canal.
The waterside is actually a large project designed at rejuvenating the area, but it is most notable by walking along the canal between Bishop’s Bridge Rd and Harrow Rd. A lovely paved path runs along the water, with ferries lining the edge of the water. Some lovely restaurants have canal views, and the atmosphere is modern, relaxing and fun. A great place just minutes from the crowds and hectic noises of Paddington and well worth a visit. The project to restore the area is ongoing, so expect the area to get better and better!
