The bar has an excellent cocktail selection, impeccable service, and is good for people watching. You have to try the current afternoon tea, though; inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, it is an original and delicious take on the traditional tea. The Cocktail Charlie is to die for.

Saw the Charlie and The Chocolate Factory afternoon Tea advertised in Time Out. I then took my Husband for his birthday. The tea had an usual menu. The choice of drinks were Queen of The Berries and all different assorted teas. The food was a selection of sandwiches and tarts. The sweets were candyfloss, golden eggs, chocolate and caramel drinks, eaton mess, scones with different jams and more. It was presented very well and tasted amazing!!! We even received a birthday cake for my husband. The staff were always on hand and very smiley/friendly. Also we were not rushed. I loved the experience and it was worth every penny!!

We have never before used a hotel bar as much as this but with it being the lobby and focus of the hotel it had a great atmosphere, great staff and some great cocktails. It was so good we didn't use the hotel lounge at all.

This is a good bar to have cocktails on a hot london evening as it is stylish and spacious with excellent staff, It is best to book but they can usually find a table if you just enter on a whim. The cocktails are not cheap but cleverly inventive and delicious.
The thing to do here is to arrive in the afternoon and have tea. Half the price of the Ritz, less formal and much tastier. The sandwiches and savouries are good but the sweet course and the tea (try the mango) are delicious. It is the best hour I have spent in a hotel this year.
It is not a bar for loud music and equally loud behaviour. They play quiet jazz and conversation is dominant.

Just left a review on main hotel site as it looks like hardly anyone visits this page. The bar is meant to be one of the best in the world, rubbish I have been to dozens that are better. 2 drinks cost over £20 I'm sure you can do better. !!!
