“Nostalgia and pints”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

As a trainee solicitor I used to work across the road from the Cittie of York which has outlasted many a legal career in London. The atmosphere is authentically old tavern in London. Fabulous casks line the walls of the rear pub. there are great booths for more private chats - but get there early. They only serve Samuel Smith beers but as these are generally good there are lots of different styles to try.

“The quintessential British Pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

After a very long day walking around London my friend suggested this pub for a pint and dinner. Immediately walking in I was blown away. Having been in my fair share of pubs all over the UK this is truly one of the most unique places I have ever been. It looks just like everyone thinks a pub should look. There are booths along both sides that are private but still keep the great atmosphere. The bar is huge and they have a great selection of drinks. The architecture of the entire space is truly phenomenal. The prices are amazing and it's steps away from the Chancery Lane tube stop. I HIGHLY recommend this pub for the truly authentic British Pub experience.

“Rude staff ”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 December 2013 via mobile

I was deeply disappointed with this pub. It is badly managed (who only has 2 chefs for a lunch time when all the tables are occupied?) and the staff is exceptionally rude. Shocking.
