“Not your average Thai restaurant”
Reviewed 10 May 2012

Luke Thai is like a intimate French bistro, but the food is the best of Thai cuisine accompanied by the fine wine. Well worth visiting this area to the north of Notting Hill just to sample the excellent food and the hospitality of the owner/chef.

“Special Valentine's Day”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

Only Thai that I love paying repeat visits to, especially when celebrating special occasions, like Valentine's Day! The steamed sea bass is the best I've ever had. Compliments to the chef, on top of the complimentary high quality wine and excellent service.

“Hidden gem--most exquisite Thai food in London”
Reviewed 10 November 2011

My family introduced me to Luke Thai, a small restaurant hidden away in a residential area of Notting Hill (or Bayswater as those of us who grew up here prefer to call it!) It is not on the usual route of visitors to the area and the pub and bar regulars at the ever popular Westbourne or the Cow seem to have not found it.

Quite simply, if you love Thai food, you MUST eat here. Everything is seriously well made, ingredients are superlative and the flavour combinations are exquisite. This is from someone who isn't usually a fan of restaurant Thai food. I would say my steamed sea bass with chili, lemon and garlic was in my top three best fish dishes of all time.

The sticky rice is warm and comforting, as is the coconut rice. The papaya, mango salad (tom sum) is fresh and zingy, and a meal in its own right. And you must try the green rice and coconut pancakes, incredibly yummy.

The restaurant is run by a wonderful host who only cares about food and the enjoyment of his customers. Prices reasonable for the area and I can't wait to go back.
