good points first: one comfy bed, nice sheets, warm room. great location for Earls Court, mostly clean.

not so good points: one really uncomfy bed, no bath plug (or for the kitchen sink!), REALLY dangerous window that has no lock (with a massive drop to a rubbish filled courtyard), no spoon to make tea (or milk) room was on the 4th floor and the stairs and banister rail were less than solid! mould and rust around the bathroom, toilet moved when you sat on it, shower and bath taps didn't work properly, T.V was tiny and in a difficult position to see from the bed.

Hotel with quite reasonable value for money for anyone visiting London without spending much. Great location for those who want to sightsee in London (quiet street, near the Earl's Court underground station and other facilities: shops, supermarket). Very helpful and friendly staff. I was pleased with the service and recomend it.

I stayed with family having two children.
On the very first day they provided a very poor room on the basement. My children were frightened. After 2 days i was able to change the room. but, they change the towels only alternate day and the floor cleaning is done only once a week.. So poor hygiene..

I found the staf very friendly, they had even left a big cholcolate birthday cake in my room for me when my family & I had returned from the city one evening.

They allowed us to use their computer and interent behind the desk as we hadn't brought our own, for obvious reasons.

The building itself is very old and our room was up about 5 flights of stairs but it is clean, the beds were dressed with fresh linen and the bathrooms with fresh towels.

If you're looking for a fancy place to stay, this hotel wont be for you however, if you're on a budget, looking for an excellent location (right down the road from Earls Court underground staion which gets you to every place in the city and back) with helpful friendly staff in a safe area with 24hr reception area, this is the place to be.

We thoroghly enjoyed our stay, and if ever returning to London with the same budget, I would most certainly come back here again, especially seems on leaving I was told that I would get a 10% discount if I returned !!!!! hahaha, p.s. if u haven't already seen it, also make sure that u go to see Phantom of the Opera, absolutely amazing, round of aplause to Her Majestys Theatre in Picadilly Circus, all the crew and staff!!!!

Let us start with the positive things. The location was good and the man at the reception was helpful.
BUT we got a room downstairs overlooking a courtyard, which was dirty and only a little daylight came into the room.
The TV was hanging on wall and was only 15" and you barely can see what is on that little tv and only few channels on it.
The bathroom is full of mold everywhere. I couldn't take a shower.
The toilet was dirty. It was so disgusting!
At night you could smell gas from the yard.
The double bed not a double bed you would expect from a hotel. It was much smaller.
There is no fresh air in the room at all (and no aircon). The cabinet is a joke. The refrigerator is rusted and from another century. Can not accept any room downstairs, it's terrible!
Cheap hotels today are smart and modern but not this one!.

Check in was fine and staff were fairly accommodating (if slightly nonchalant), the alarm bells started ringing when I was led downstairs to the basement and to my room. The curtain was closed over the window and I was left in this room which was exceedingly hot. There was no bedside table or lamp, and the fridge was making a horrible buzzing noise. I twitched back the curtain to see bars on the window and what was seemingly rags hanging outside.

The bathroom was the next disaster, the size of a cardboard box and with the ceiling above the shower peeling in huge chunks, orange grime growing around the tray and the door not locking, I was not filled with confidence. I hastily went out but when I returned the room was so hot it was almost unbearable - and of course the window didn't open! I crawled behind the fridge to turn it off because the cooling element was belting out heat. I then wanted to read in bed before attempting to sleep, but having to use the main ceiling lamp wasn't exactly relaxing!

Would never, ever, stay here again or recommend to anybody. Nice area, affordable, but shocking upkeep on the room.
