We visited this hotel to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary and we were very impressed from the moment that we arrived. The check in team were welcoming and efficient. We located our room and immediately noticed how clean it was, this is something vertical important to us and something we always check upon arrival. Kensington is a great location in close proximity to harrods and the royal albert hall, to name but a few and the close proximity to the tube station makes it an ideal location to explore the whole of london. After a busy day sightseeing we decided to check out the hotel bar, once again we couldnt fault the staff and had fantastic pre dinner drinks. There is a large choice of restaurants in the local area serving a wide variety of cuisine and they all looked so inviting it was hard to chose where to eat. After dinner we returned to the hotel, completely shattered and ready for bed. Whilst we slept absolutely fine we do feel that the beds could have been better as they felt quite worn. This did let the hotel down slightly but all in all a great hotel, friendly staff and excellent location

The hotel sits in one of the most sought-after parts of London, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with its world-renowned museums, exclusive shops and Royal parks. Our 4-star hotel offers an unbeatable combination of contemporary design, comfort and convenience for your stay. The hotel also has very good access to public transport and proximity to top tourist sites and exhibition centres.

Stayed here for long weekend, easy to get to, close to tube station and access to tourist attractions.

Room was clean, comfortable and bright, staff highly accommodating - especially when quizzed over ingredients, due to allergy.

The breakfast set you up for the day, perfectly cooked eggs, with runny yolks!! Most important factor for me!

Thank you for taking your precious time to review your recent stay with us.

Start your day with our delicious breakfast range. Wake up to freshly baked croissants, muesli, cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruits and juices for a healthy breakfast or for a hearty start of the day, why not try our full English breakfast with all the trimmings – eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans. Cold cuts, cheeses, bread rolls and jams, some of which homemade in-house with seasonal fruits, are also part of our breakfast buffet. I am delighted you enjoyed the breakfast.

Your comments on the comfortable room are extremely well received, thank you.

We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

Sonya Young

Stayed at the Mercure Kensington yesterday. After all the incidents in London yesterday, I felt reassured by the calm welcoming I received. Comfortable room, attentive staff ( they even managed to help me out with some missing items I'd forgotten to pack!), prompt service. Smart decor throughout. Had a great nights sleep followed by a lovely hot shower and a great variety of breakfast. I will be back.

I stayed at Mercure London Kensington for 3 nights, together with my sister. Although the Hotel looks fine at first sight, we learned that it was impossible to sleep due to the unbearbale heat and stuffiness in the room. Unfortunately, the hotel sat out our complaints, probably as they themselves didn´t know what to do. The hotel locks all Windows and decides to turn off air conditioning during winter (whatever "winter" means). This resulted in a stuffiness and disgusting humid air during our entire stay (when you had a shower, it was more like a steam bath in the room). Besides, there was incredibly loud noise outside (backyard) which would have led to sleepless nights anyway. So we decided to leave the hotel very early in the mornings and return very late. We didn´t have one nice moment in this room. And although staff was not unfriendly they made clear, that we were talking against walls with our complaints. Sadly, we cannot recommend this hotel and a compensation from the hotel would have been more than necessary.
