We stayed here for one night before traveling to Paris. The hotel was basic looked a bit tired and in need of a revamp. Very handy for st pancreas station. You have a bathroom between four rooms which wasn't too bad. Didn't get to sample the breakfast as we had to leave early but was included in the price. Would prbely stay again.

On check in they gave me my room, when I went to it the smell inside it was too much that you would'nt sleep inside that room so I went to reception and asked to see another room just to check if it's got the same smell, they gave me a key and it was fine so i took that room. It's just a room to sleep in, got a small tv.
The Bathrooms are shared, not so bad, I bought an antiseptic liquid cleaner and a sponge to give the bath a good clean b4 I use it (suggestion) and yes go in the bath with a flipflop.
As my title says, I think stying with your other part in this hotel there is a chance she moans a little, she deserve better!
No wifi in the room but you can go down to the lobby and use wife there.
This is for the key collection receptionists: please be careful, I once went for my room key and was given another room key. (I could have gone inside someone else's room anytime!)
Breakfast is included, it's always the same but no complain, it gets u going.
I paid 64 for a twin, asked prices at travelodge down the road from this hotel, they asked me for 120 p/p p/night with no bfast so this hotel is quite cheap so you get what you pay for,
Nearest tube station is Euston ( out of hotel go right down same road)

Good things:
1. It's location is ideal for shopping and moving around the city (bus stations near the hotel);
2. Best price I could find last minute with 57 pounds a night for a double room with bunk beds;
3. People really friendly;
4.You can book shared taxis from the hotel that take you straight to the airport;
5. Toilets were clean but I couldn't make it to use the bathtubs.
6. 24hr receptionist.

Negatives:
1. The hotel really needs to be renovated. It looks like a really old hotel like the ones on halloween movies with the old smell all around the hotel. At least the rooms that i stayed in was really small. We could barely fit with our two luggages;
2. Noice is not an issue for me but it can get a bit noice if you are facing the main street in fornt of the hotel;
3. Room service start banging on the doors from 8:30 and even if the don't knock on your door you will still wake up because there is no soundproofing;
4.I didn't try the breakfast but you could smell it all over the hotel up to the fifth floor that i was staying (and it wasn't a good smell);
5. The metal attached to the room key for security is huge which i find ridiculous. Noone is gonna run away with a key.

I've stayed here several times recently. The décor is a bit tired but being refurbished - e.g. the bathrooms are now good (albeit shared). Quite a few of the staff don't have English as a first language, but they are generally pleasant and helpful as long as you are polite to them. It's reasonably clean. The wifi is generally sound, the downstairs bar is acceptable and the luggage storage is good value for money at 50p a day. The walls aren't particularly soundproof so it can be noisy if you have inconsiderate neighbours - but it is possible to close the doors quietly despite the aggressive auto-closers. The breakfast is basic and unchanging; if you want fresh toast or uncongealed eggs then watch for when the staff bring out a new batch. They have a unique method of ensuring that the cereal is nearly always stale (leave it in open containers overnight) but on the other hand the food's all edible and there's no limit on quantity. The County advertises itself as being the hotel for people who'd rather spend their money on other things, and I think it fills this market niche rather well.

Read some off the comments and cannot beleive that people pay £62 for a double room with breakfast in London and whinge about it. It is a budget hotel and does not pretend to be anything else. Shower and Toilets have been updated this year you have a good choice at breakfast the staff are usually very helpful we arrived early to book in were told by receptionist we would have to wait half hour to book in her assistant took it on herself and we had a room within 5mins.Slept very well with 2 pillows provided usually have to ask when staying in other hotels for extra pillows.5 mins walk to Euston 10 mins to Kings X/ St Pancras so handy for transport links.Will be back early next year.

I was a lone traveler on a budget. Needed a cheap hotel close to Euston for a very early train and did not want a shared room.
The room wasn't luxurious (you can get luxury for 4 times + the price next door or across the road), but I would suggest a room at the back as it was quite loud from the traffic at my room at the front.
Clean, and secure, and so for the 6 hours I was in there I have no complaints. Less than 5 mins walk to Euston.
For such a low price, I wasn't expecting any amenities, but each room had a tv, kettle, sink and clean towels.
Bathrooms clean and look recently renovated.
Read the website, if you are happy with what you see, you can't be disappointed. But if you expect anything more than budget accommodation for so little money, go elsewhere.

Hotel was dirty and shabby - at best. Staff surly, incompetent (I booked online for 2 nights, but booked each night seperately as my travel plans changed, and they had difficulty figuring this out) and difficult to understand / have difficulty understanding you.

The room keys were attached to the end of long, metal rods (which presumably was an anti-theft measure ) and had to be deposited/retrieved from reception each and every time you left the hotel or went down for what could cautiously be described as "a meal" (more on this later), which was a hassle to say the least. Rooms have seen better days and reek of the ingrained scent of cloying, musty perfume (possibly to disguise unwelcome odours). The "staff" hammer on the door before 10am, even when you've booked for a couple of nights (they do however respond to crossness!)

"Breakfast" was "le plat pricipal" of the whole shabby ordeal - monosyllabic waiters grunting/pointing you to your seat, telling you off for putting your plates on a tray (there are no trays for use by diners) and clearing up your cups/spoons when you have merely left your table to get some cornflakes. They have a hot-plate buffet serving cooked breakfast items but the plates allocated are the size of saucers (I jest not) !

On the plus side, it's close to Euston station, cheap, I didn't see any bugs and wasn't physically assaulted. It's as if the staff had all attended the 'Manuel Academy of excellence', or something like that ...
