If you're looking for a place to put your luggage and go for a sleep you 've found the place.

Near to Euston station but also possible to walk down to piccadily circus passing various souvenir shops and restaurants.

Don't expect perfect cleanliness for this low price room.
Also the shared baths and toilets could be worse! And don't be surprised to find marks of coffee/ jam on your breakfast table from the previous guest who sat there!

This hotel was booked for us by a friend. I was horrified by some of the reviews and we almost tried to change the booking.
Pros:-
Superb location close to Euston and St Pancras. Easy to get anywhere on the tube.
Rooms were clean and beds very comfortable.
Staff were generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff less so.
Free wifi in the reception (but nothing in the rooms).
Good lifts to the bedrooms.
It was very quiet on the 5th floor but perhaps that was just luck.
Cons
No ensuite facilities. However, the baths and shower rooms were adequate. The toilets are in separate rooms which are very small - would be difficult for people with any disabilities. They were however kept clean and well stocked with essentials. There seem to be ample facilities on each floor and we never had to wait to use them. However, there is no wash basin in the toilets - you use the one in your room.
Like other reviewers I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. We had booked continental only and had to pay an extra £4 each for cooked food. Not a lot, but practically nothing for veggies - no mushrooms or veggie sausages so you end up with egg on beans on toast ! The continental breakfast is also sparse with no croissants and a limited choice of cereals.

Overall This is a cheap hotel and for the price good value. I would certainly go back there.

Room Tip: As mentioned above, we had rooms on 5th floor some of which have pleasant views. They were very quie...

I stayed here with family for one night as we had an evening trip to the West End booked, and it’s always stayed with me as the worst hotel I have EVER stayed in. Hotel flatters it, it felt more like a youth hostel and a bad one at that!

The service was terrible and the receptionist was rude and seemed like she hated her job (unsurprising considering she works). The room was incredibly basic and small and was more dirty than anything you could imagine. I couldn’t even see out of the window, you could write your name in the dirt it was that bad! The bed was lumpy and there was lot of noise outside so was a pretty poor night’s sleep. The worst thing is that none of the bedrooms were en-suite, and in all of the hotels I’ve stayed in, I have never known this. Each floor had communal showers and toilets which didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in years. Grimy! At peak times, you may be waiting a while as well. I’m pretty sure the hotel hadn’t been renovated since it was built many decades ago and the bar was frankly gross and best avoided!

The location, however, was good. Only a stone’s throw away from Euston station with good connections to the tourist areas.. If the faults don’t bother you so much and you’re only here for one or two night’s then it’s a bargain because of the location, although we paid about £60 each for one night (cheap for London, granted!) and felt we were ripped off at that. It doesn’t matter how cheap a hotel is, basic levels of cleanliness and service should be expected everywhere in my view! If you’re there for more than two nights then definitely splash out a bit more cash if you can afford it and choose somewhere else. How this place stays open I do not know!...

Room Tip: Avoid all of them! I hear the Hilton opposite is nice......

Very poor (terrible) hotel. Everything is very old and not clean.
Breakfast could be acceptable for the food but even the carafe with orange juice didn't look so clean or at least very old.
Before going there I wrote an email to ask if there was internet connection in the rooms and they answered that free wifi was available in the entrance (that was true) and cable to connect from the room were available for 4p of deposit in the reception (this was not true). So I had to work and make skype calls in the entrance that was very noisy the first evening.
For London prices is very cheap also because the area is very central area and close to the UCL campus but definitely please call it Hostel. Next time I would prefer to go to some hostel, I prefer to sleep with other 3 unknown people than to sleep there again.

First off, the hotel has a great location only two minutes walk from Euston station. If you're stay in London is solely based on location and price, this hotel is perfect.
We checked in and were given the keys to our rooms. Neither of which were ready when we went up to them. Usually you would be told this upon checking in, but at this hotel we were given the keys and only found out when we got there. One of our rooms was in the process of being cleaned and the other hadnt been started yet. We waited for one room to be cleaned, dumped our cases in and left for the day.
The beds are actually very comfy and the linen was very clean and fresh. The carpet was quite dirty, lots of hairs and fluff balls that stuck to any item of clothing that came into contact with it.
There isnt really much storage space in the rooms and there is quite alot of road noise through the night, but it didnt cause too much problem. We pushed our twin beds together but they were both a different height so werent really very good to be used as a double.
The general decor around the hotel is very tired and needs a refurb. There are toilets and showers between each four rooms, but on the last day two of the loos were filthy all morning. Other guests hadnt flushed them which meant only one loo was usable and noone had been in to check them from early morning when we got up, until afternoon when we next needed to use these facilites.
The breakfast although not fantastic, was okay and had a nice selection. The staff werent very entusiastic and the tables were quite dirty when sat down, but the food was okay.
On the day of departure we checked out and left our cases with the porter until collection later in the day, this service costs 50 pence per suitcase.
Overall, this hotel is in a fantastic location, but is poor in cleanliness and general standard. If you're on a solely budget orientated trip then it's well suited because it does what it says on the tin, but please don't go expecting any sort of luxury.

The hotel has a good location. It is very close to London University and British Museum. The Oxford Street and Soho are also within walking distance. For London it is one of the cheaper options. There are shared bathrooms, but very clean. The single room was small and I didn't like very soft mattress. But for a few nights ok.

Not of the luxury class as many of its neighbours but it does the job. Rooms adequate but I would suggest that one ask for one at the back to avoid traffic noise.

A great place to stay and very central. Staff both pleasant and efficient and there is an excellent breakfast to see yiou on your way. Great to see that senior management conduct control visits. Have now seen what I assume to be a director walk into the kitchens at around 08:45 on three seperate occasions. That's 12/10 in my book

A great place to base oneself and at a cost that does not break the bank. Certainly plan to use it on a regular basis

Room Tip: As said ask for a room at the back as it avoids the traffic noise
