This was my second visit to the home of my team West Ham .... The first time was great... service was fantastic... food OK... but it was the service that was outstanding...

This time ... no. We asked the receptionist for a plaster... this was too much trouble and she refused on the grounds of health and safety... Previously we were able to open the patio door for some fresh air... as we had a young baby with us... this was refused and I was given a lecture by one receptionist of what could happen if thieves got in through the window... basically it was an excuse not to open the patio doors.

We booked a cot for our baby of 3 months.. this was not in the room ... we were given an unsafe z bed for a 3 month year old baby... not good. The cot finally arrived on the last night of our stay.

Food in the restaurant poor value... and poor quality... Considering we ate at Jamie Olivers Italian for the same sort of prices...

Such a shame... as the potential is fantastic... with all the West Ham fans out there...

We stayed on the night of an England match expecting some atmosphere ... Nothing it was on quietly in the corner...

Room Tip: Ask for the patio doors to be opened... Rooms very stuffy...

Stayed here for two nights In September and was disappointed. Been here before and service was always grand. However on check in this time we were asked if we had stayed before. When we said we had that was the end of the conversation. Weren't told when breakfast was, checkout etc. it was a year since our last visit and the old memory not to great so would have helped to have been reminded. The rooms were grand as usual. Clean and well presented. Over the next two days we were consistently ignored by reception staff. Never lifted their head to even greet you on coming into or leaving the hotel. In fact one day the girl manning the desk had her headphones in!!! Breakfast staff were grand although you could have stood your spoon up in the tea every morning. Way too strong. All in all an ok trip but definitely staff were not as welcoming as previous trips which was off putting

Very surprised about how good this was! The executive boxes are used as rooms when no matches on, great idea. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, location is east end of London so don't expect the area to be really good. Would use this place again in fact booked back there very soon for work.

When looking on a booking site for a last minute hotel for a business trip, this came up and I thought, not as a West Ham fan but a football fan I would give it a go. It is a strange feeling, walking to your room with the names of the sponsors outside the room but once in the room it is a normal hotel room with all the expected items. Opening the blinds and 'wow' what a view. It was a Sunday night and the hotel was very quiet, the bar had only one other person in and I ordered a burger and chips which was ok, standard pub fayre. The breakfast was similarly quiet but a lovely lady waitress who had a great personality and made me laugh. The food was typical fried breakfast with cereals - it would have been nice if there had been a selection of yoghurts and also some morning papers to read. The hotel is situated in a shopping street and about 5 mins walk away from Upton Park tube. All in all, a great experience and would recommend any footballs fans who want to try a reasonably priced hotel to give it a try!

After this experience I assumed there are lots of other hotels which are way better and closer to the centre.
Not to mention about the accuracy of the receptionists; of course friendly but, doubting of me whether I paid or not... when I kept telling them I already paid. They didn't even check the documents and so on. Fortunately everything was solved when we did the check out.
There are no wardrobes in the rooms, because the ones in the pictures are used as executive boxes by the footballers as are the rooms.

My Mrs decided to surprise me with an overnight stay here, and being a Hammers fan couldnt believe it,. This hotel didnt disappoint. We were greeted by the reception staff who were very friendly and helpful. We were given a large room, very clean and tidy, and over looking the pitch , which was unbelievable. We went down to the bar to have a pint, the barmaid was very good, and made you feel at home, Dinner was good, basic, just what i needed..Unfortunately they only had one vegetarian dish on the menu, and they had run out of that, which proved a problem for the Mrs, you do need more than one veggie dish, an omelet isnt a dinner. Breakfast on the other hand was very good, the service was very good, staff walking around topping up the breakfast buffet , topping up guest tea and coffee, very good. Highly recommend this hotel, especially to the West Ham fans out there.

I spent two nights at the hotel with my son, he is a football fan .the idea of sleeping in a football stadium sounded great . We were not disappointed. the Room has a window that looks out onto the stadium. The staff was very friendly. Service was very good and the traditional English breakfast was very nice.
The neighborhood where the hotel is not so pleasant at night.
