“Great food good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2013

We were invited in having been stood looking at the menu board, it was a very cold day and the waiter directed us to a warm spot by a radiator. The food was served promptly and was fab. The starters and mains were large portions and reasonable prices. Best tiramisu I have had in a long time.
The restaurant is under the railway arches so trains are rattling over you but the noise is quite subdued and the glasses don't shake! Next to the restaurant is a wine bar area which on a Friday evening at 6pm was lively and busy while the restaurant was still quiet.

“good place at convenient prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 February 2013

I went to Moratti last night with a group of friends. We had a meeting at the nearby Riverside Plaza hotel and we were looking for somewhere to eat. Since we do not know this area we decided to try Moratti which is located 4 mins walk from the hotel & Vauxhall station.
To be honest I was not really impressed from the outside, but after looking at the menu we decided to give it a try cos the prices were quite convenient considering the average London restaurant prices.
The pizza is around 7£which is cheap considering that for a pizza you normally pay around 8/9£. I had the veal escalope w/aubergine and cheese, it was nice but nothing special. My friends got pizza and I must say it looked quite yummy.
The restaurant is large and nice, there is a quite atmosphere , not noisy so is perfect to have dinner and chat with friends.
The Italian waiter was very friendly and he even offered us Limoncello at the end of the dinner.
Thumbs up for waiter Marco :)

“Nice Italian with good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 January 2013

Used this restaurant on a couple of occasions whilst staying at the Riverbank Plaza and it offers good value, with nice food and good service. It is located under the railway arches and so you can hear passing trains overhead but this does not spoil the experience.

“Great value and pretty good food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 January 2013

Moratti is an Italian restaurant close to Vauxhall train station in London. It is actually located in the arches under the train tracks, which may contribute to a periodic feeling of a brief earthquake every time a train goes by above you.
Barring this minor inconvenience the place is great! I recommend the prix-fixe at lunch time. A two-course meal for approximately £9 pounds and a three-course meal for £12 pounds, in London! But the surprise is that the food is actually very good. I recommend the spinach appetizer and the chicken and mushrooms as the main course. But in fact, everything is good. The house red wine is a Valpolicella if I am not mistaken and is very nice.
Service is very good and friendly.
In short, a great place.

“Very Attractive Waitress Got Extra Star”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2013 via mobile

This is a very popular Italian restaurant with a lively adjoining bar. The food is good, standard Italian but not outstanding and the service whilst good is only that with mistakes which were made on the order being properly rectified. The menu is varied and all at a reasonable price. Three of the diners chose the same meal but portions and contents varied such that satisfaction was varied.
Overall the standard of food, service and value are unlikely to disappoint but the main reason for a revisit would have to be the absolutely gorgeous waitress who has pushed my rating up from 3 to 4!!
