“Very Sad Tale Of India”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

I booked this restaurant for as a birthday booking for 13 people after hearing good reviews and the restaurant being close to where we lived. I have to say the service was appalling, when we first walked in as the last 3 people to join the party we were given dirty looks by the waiters and told we couldn't sit next to our family, even though we had reserved four tables.. After much disagreement we were allowed to sit with our family... when ordering some people wanted starters and some wanted to go straight to main. we were told we could not order our mains until the 4 who wanted starters had finished eating... after waiting 30 minutes for the starters to arrive we had to wait another 20 minutes to order due the waiters constantly talking to each other and ignoring us when we called them over... they got the drinks orders wrong several times and when the mains finally arrived they forgot certain dishes that went with our meal... The waiters were not apologetic at all and blamed us for being to fussy with the way we wanted to order starters and mains at the same time... The food tasted nice but due to the rudeness and feeling like we weren't wanted it made the whole atmosphere very awkward and even the nice tasting food couldn't justify their actions... the whole restuarant is dim so you can barely see what you're eating and if you have little children they'd have to sit on your lap as there is no highchairs. i would rather travel far then be served by these waiters again... good luck to anyone who can put up with a night full of upfront rudeness

“Great range and flavour”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 via mobile

One of my favourite Indians in London slightly off the beaten track but close to westferry DLR station.
The range of dishes is good and great quality and value. Never had a bad meal and service is good. Meals are cooked to order and you can relax ..... Great decoration !

“Unbelievably rude! Never coming back!!”
Reviewed 25 April 2014

Four of us had dinner here in March. We waited for an hour and a half for our food and, understandably I think, asked when it would arrive a couple of times. We weren't obnoxious but we were annoyed. Anyway, my husband and I went back last night for the first time since then and the manager said that, 'due to the problems we had when you were here last time, we won't feel comfortable serving you'. So my advice is, if they keep you waiting hours for your food, don't mention it or you will be barred. My real advice is to stay well away from this awful place.

“Fantastic and authentic curry”
Reviewed 11 February 2014

Really enjoyed this restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic - go for the chef's specials but, beware, 'medium' really means 'actually quite hot'!

The staff were nice and friendly, and the location very very near the DLR is great.

“Terrible customer service”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

We ordered a take away and they messed it up. When my boyfriend phoned them up they hang up on him. I don't think you treat your customers like that... so dissapointing
