Description: Inspired by the wine bars of Spain and Italy, we serve simple yet imaginative food with characterful wine to drink in or take away. Vinoteca combines high quality, characterful wine with a selection of paired dishes created from fresh and seasonal produce. Vinoteca Marylebone is atmospheric and unfussy, with walls of wine to buy and great for private dining. Downstairs from the wine bar, restaurant and shop, the Marylebone Private Dining Room offers a completely exclusive space with its own kitchen, personal chef, and dedicated waiting staff.

“very good vegetarian choices and friendly service”
Reviewed 6 November 2013

I have also been to the Soho branch of Vinoteca but this is our favourite by far. The service is always friendly and all the staff know their wines. The food is always excellent.

“Great private room for a group function”
Reviewed 5 November 2013 credit card Amex Cardmember Review

I held a group function here for my MBA class on a Friday night and we had the private room downstairs near the kitchen which was great. There were 35 of us for drinks and canapés for a couple of hours and it went well. The canapé choice was good with plenty of options for vegetarians. Good selection of wines and cheeses and it was very easy to organise in conjunction with the Vinoteca team.

“Freshly prepared food, excellent wine, friendly staff”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

We picked Vinoteca because it was a short walk from the hotel, and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and although the menu list is not exhaustive, there is fish, meat, vegetarian and fowl to choose from. We started with a house cocktail, and then had a glass of the recommended wine with each course. My brown shrimp salad starter was very crisp and fresh, with plenty of flavour to it. My wife really enjoyed her mushroom souffle as her main course, while I had fresh bream and vegetables - cooked to perfection. The portions are just the right size to enjoy but not feel stuffed afterwards. My wife had the delicious chocolate pot and blackberries for pudding, with a very unusual, cloudy pudding wine (Chateau Rousset-Pey) that resembled orange wine in the glass. I had some wonderful Stichelton and Innes Log English cheeses with oatcakes and home-made chutney, and a Filature Grenache recommended by the waitress. I finished with an espresso and the bill was very reasonable indeed. The restaurant was busy, and the tables are close together so make sure you choose one you like. The staff are wonderful, attentive (but not obtrusive) and enthusiastic about the wine and the food. We will definitely be back!

“Good venue, but watch the acoustics....”
Reviewed 24 October 2013

Excellent wine bar, which has the confidence to prepare the food in an accessible kitchen in front of the customers. The wild chantrelle soufle was particularly good.

My one caveat would be to take great care where you are seated as the acoustics of Vinoteca aren't great and if seated near noisy people, it could impact your enjoyment of the meal.....

Lovely time, delicious food and great wine list. We ordered from the conservative end of the spectrum and got great wine.
