We have a little week end retreat in Hampstead and love having our breakfasts and snacks here.
It's nestled in quaint street with lovely quirky independant shops.
You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
There are chairs outside where you can enjoy the sunshine and the friendly atmosphere and may be spot a celebrity :)
Generous portions of good quality food, reasonably priced for the area and served by super staff that care and look a
After you . A pleasure to visit !!!

We came to Hampstead this morning for breakfast and instead of eating in one of the more well known chains, we decided to support this independent local business.
Unfortunately, it is places like this that will put people off using little eateries and stick to the brands that they know.
The cutlery and mugs are chipped and dirty, the staff are moody.
An £8.50 'simply scrumptious' breakfast was a burnt bagel and a slice of salmon so thin that you could see the plate through it.

Read a review where this cafe was supposed to be a top place for breakfast so we planned a half day in Hampstead with breakfast at Simply Scrumptious.
The cafe is located in a short, interesting street. It looks like a shop with lovely displays of cakes etc. Service was friendly and good if a little slow. The food was very basic and that's how it was cooked. Ok if that's what you expect but not up to today's average.

Despite the awful reviews here I think this deserves better. It's on a pretty pedestrian passage *Flask Walk' with some charming Hampstead type shops to browse and it is on the main way towards the Heath; so a pleasant stop over for refreshments if you're going that way.
Has a great cappuccino! And overall well priced compared to the ones on Hampstead High Street.
I have been going for several years and is a favourite with locals who are usually very friendly and talkative .

We stumbled upon this cafe on a little street off Hampstead high street and thought it looked nice. However, we were bitterly disappointed. £5.50 for a sausage and bacon sandwich created an expectation of decent quality but what I was given was cheap microwaved meat in limp white bread. My girlfriend's sandwich contained gone off ham. We sent it back and the "chef" very rudely returned with our food and insisted there was nothing wrong with it!

We were then given our bill (even though we hadn't asked for it) and were amazed to see that we had been charged full price for two plates of inedible food. The waiter also knocked a ladie's tea all over her and said that it was her fault for the positioning of her chair.

This cafe is to be avoided at all costs. Poor, over-priced food and appalling customer service!
