We were put into a small room number Go2, it had a strange smell, almost smelt like spilt milk which had not been cleaned up properly. The room was very clean so there was no evidence where the smell was coming from. Reception were very helpful and changed us to another room straight away when we explained the problem. She said she would get housekeeping to investigate. The other thing which we felt people should be made aware of was that Go2 room has a window which faces an outside wall and very little daylight filters between the space. Might be difficult for people who didn't like feeling so enclosed and having no view. Our new room was again very clean and had three windows all with a view to the outside. Phew! The bathroom had top quality sanitary ware and taps, again very clean. The bed and pillows were really comfortable slept very well. The breakfast was in the restaurant on the ground floor. Would have been happier if the meats and cheese were kept on a chilled tray. A little concerned they were in a warm room, and tasted like they had been left out for a while. In all very pleased we were moved to a larger room with plenty of light, and the overall stay with very comfy bed and nice clean well lit modern bathroom was very good. Would stay again at this hotel But not in the room without a view!

Room Tip: Make sure to ask if your room has a view if you don't like feeling enclosed.

Can't fault the hotel whatsoever! It was a last minute booking as our hotel we had previously booked was absolutely manky to put it bluntly!

Room was gorgeous, bed was comfy, shower was incredible! Staff were friendly and helpful, even when our key wouldn't work they sorted it out ASAP.

Only thing i can fault is that when you go to breakfast in the morning you have to walk out of the hotel into a restaurant next door (slight inconvience) but nothing that would put me off staying here again!

Our two night stay in The Haverstock hotel looked promising on arrival. Good location, clean and attractively furnished room and great shower. However our room was located on the ground floor near to the Reception area. Stairs leading upstairs were in close proximity. We were woken on the first night by guests coming in and being very noisy as they went up to their rooms. The second night however was much worse. At 4am there was banging and noisy footsteps going up and down the stairs many times. It was the laundry being delivered and there was no attempt made to try to be quiet. My husband opened the door and spoke courteously to the man but he just laughed. We did not get any more sleep. When we mentioned this to the receptionist in the morning she was very dismissive.
We are easygoing people who rarely complain but this is not a cheap hotel and we expected more courtesy and consideration for us as guests. We booked the room as somewhere to sleep!
If you are going to book our suggestion is that you avoid the two rooms next to Reception....and be prepared for the laundryman!

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor.

I stayed at this hotel on business for two nights and have to let other people know what a gem of a hotel this was. Extremely clean, good facilities, helpful staff comfortable bed, temperature just right, great shower - I'll definitely be back.

As we live only a 35-minute train ride from central London, it’s rare that we have to stay in a hotel there. A late night party, well past last train time, meant that this time we had to. We chose the Haverstock because of its proximity to our party in Gospel Oak. Visitors to London should note that this hotel is well away from the recognised tourist centre of the city. You can’t just step out from the hotel to start wandering – you’ll need to take a tube or a bus to get you to where all the action is.
We award the hotel only 3 stars because, for what it is, we think it’s poor value for money. Although the rooms are well fitted out in a pleasant modern style, the entire hotel feels cramped. As you open the front door, the tiny reception desk is squeezed in a mere metre or so in front of you. The stairs and corridors are narrow (there’s no lift). Our double room was small (about 3m x 5m). Indeed it was so small that the “dressing table” was a folded-away shelf at the end of the bed such that, when it was open, you couldn’t get round the bed. At times it felt as if we were staying in an up-market caravan. However, the bed was comfortable. By design, the hand washbasin had no plug because there was no overflow – so you couldn’t fill it to wash your hands or to shave. But the shower was very good with a plentiful supply of hot water.
Breakfast is taken in the hotel’s café next door, which you enter via the street. The buffet was excellent but again, they had crammed in so many tables that it was difficult to sit comfortably without nudging someone on the table next to you. The charming waitress was overworked but alas her English wasn’t up to “hot water” or “my coffee’s only lukewarm”!
We can’t rave about this hotel. Some wealthy friends of ours at the party had a much better solution: they checked in to the Premier Inn at Camden Lock and negotiated a room overlooking the canal.

When I was alocated a room on the ground floor I was a bit skeptic taking into consideration some of the reviews here. But I have to tell you that I had one of the best night sleep in a long time - it must have been the bed or the pillows:-) and not sure what noise are some people talking about???
Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

We LOVED staying at the Haverstock Hotel! It was an area of London I hadn’t explored before and I loved the location. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable about what is going on in the surrounding area and further afield. We stayed at the Haverstock in order to attend the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in central London and it was so easy to get there by underground. Our room was delightful and so comfortable for our weekend stay
