Visited on a Sunday . Met by an uninterested girl who said one train was broken and we’d have to wait approximately an hour. Didn’t tell us where to go, what to do. Train was ok but a bit boring. Museum was the same. Ok to experience but staff need training in customer service. Wouldn’t recommend but don’t suppose they would care.

We really did enjoy this museum but there are things that could certainly be improved upon. The mail train is so good and the use of AV is great but there is much history to it, having a 5 min segment on a pretend child sending a pretend letter to Buckinghamshire Palace is unnecessary. What about looking further in depth of how it was sorted and the evolution of this, who brought it down, what it used to look like, have mannequins on the platform to show case this.

The museum across the road is really good .

We were curious when we saw this online and were not disappointed.
It's a great activity which can easily keeps one entertained for half a day.
It's informative but also entertaining - we did get rather competitive with the sorting game on the 'travelling postal train'. There are lots of things to do for children too.
The train journey is great. Take the advice re bags seriously - once you're on that train you'll know why. It is cramped as is was never intended for humans to travel on...and a letter just doesn't need that much space. There are limited amounts of lockers and a cage next to the train to leave bags.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
There's also a little cafe which is great to rest tired feet.
All in all - we'd thoroughly recommend it.

Had an enjoyable day today.
Started with the postal museum which lasted around an hour. Unfortunately there was a fair few children here running around which was rather annoying at times! But on the whole, a very interactive and informative museum with friendly staff.
The highlight of the trip however was the Mail Rail. The train ride was fantastic. Lasted around 20 minutes and involved many stops along the route with projection videos playing in the platforms. A very good journey. Followed by the museum which was brilliant and very interactive!
Only small negative was I am 6ft and it was rather cramped in the train! I spent the duration only a quarter on the seat to slant myself instead of sitting upright. However I would not say it was uncomfortable as such!
