“NYC in London - fantastic cocktails!”

Neighbourhood: Covent Garden
Description: The boundaries in Mishkin's origins are as ambiguous as the menu's influences. Mishkin's is not Kosher (and neither, incidentally, is Katz's Deli in New York - perhaps the most famous Jewish restaurant in the world) and the dishes are based very loosely on the sort of Jewish comfort food we all love eating.

This is a really cute place, perfect for a night out with friends or for a date. It has a real 1960s New York feeling to it, great atmosphere with lots of little details making the overall impression really great. The food is what you would expect - great sliders with a perfect beef burger, delicious Reubens sandwich - it is American classics so don't expect fine French dining. The cocktails are the highlight. They are amazing, really really delicious. Especially the Diamond Fizz. It's a stand-out. This is a place that I will definitely come back to!

Went here with a couple of friends on a Friday night and really enjoyed it. It was a relaxed place with a very NY vibe. The service was friendly, the food was yummy and the atmosphere was good. We didn't have time for a dessert due to a theatre booking but would really like to come back here again with a bit more time on our hands...

Was really excited about going here but unfortunately the food didnt live up to the facade and decor of the shop. The food was just ok and the service underwhelming and at times abrupt.

I've visted Mishkins three times now and every time I come away with a smile. The staff are always really friendly and helpful and I enjoy a gorgeous hearty meal. Whether you opt for Macaroni Cheese, Salt Beef or Meat Loaf, you're sure to enjoy a delicious meal. We usually opt for a few main courses and share them amongst us - this works brilliantly as the menu is small but hard to decide upon. If you're a Gin lover, you won't be disappointed by the amazing array of Gin's available and fantastic cocktails served up in the New York style, relaxed venue. The prices are great and the food always arrives in front of you in good time.

Our son who has eaten here before took us for lunch and what a pleasant surprise we had. Not the normal tyre of food on offer in the rest of Covent Garden but authentic New York deli type of food served in shabby chic surroundings. The salt beef was delicious as was the blue cheese macaroni and don't be put off by the words Hot Dog nothing like the item we are used to this is really tasty and a must try along with the rice pudding with apples rhubarb and ginger.
We were lucky to be served by the waiter who could not have been more pleasant but all the waitresses seen very sullen and have had a personality by pass which is a shame as it could spoil the dining experience for some people.
