“Great Italian buffet”

Arrived just after breakfast, which they said they would provide if we wanted but the bufffet was also just about to start.

Freshly prepared pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as couscous, fishcakes etc were all available and because of our timing they were all freshly made. The food was all very tasty and the restaurant was very clean and well presented (some buffet style restaurants can have questionable hygiene).

Great value for money, brilliant authentic Italian food and quick service.

At the door stands a big sign that refers to an "evening special offer". "Pizza or pasta or salad + soft drink for £ 6.50" written on it. So we went in, looked at the map and each ordered a pizza with pepperoni and a coke. The store was very loud, the operator (owner?) Very rude, the food was rather bad, the table was dirty, the whole place was in total not inviting and the kitchen (I could clean look there) was absolutely disgusting, really dirty . Even the sauces and spices seasoning for himself standing on a table, are inedible. The lids look partly like this, so the spice was last used years ago, but the closure was never cleaned. Even the cola was not original and tasted like colored water with cola flavor.

But the climax of audacity was yet to come:

We have both ate only one-half of our pizzas, because it was not really tasty and ordered the bill. We expected an invoice for £ 13 offer for the Special. Instead we got a bill for £ 18.90 laid (by the way with a handwritten note that the bill contains no tip) and were left alone. The food was obviously charged at normal prices. I called back the waiter and spoke to him in the special offer. He took a menu from the stack at the counter, looked briefly in, put it away again, took a second menu, put it in front of my nose, pointed to a specific page on which the special offer was described in more detail and left us again. We looked at thias page. In fact, there were only 3 meal (pizza, pasta, salad) covered by the offer. My wife and I were sure that this page was not present in our menus. We called him back and asked him about it. It left him completely cold. If you go to a restaurant, then you would have to ask about the specials, otherwise he would calculate the normal prices. I then asked him about the fact that the three pizzas that are included in the offer (with chicken, lamb, etc.) were still worth a lot more than my pepperoni pizza. This would not be so, these pizzas would be much more cheaper for him. That's why he would have liked to £ 18.90 from me.

This is surely fraud. You get bad food in a dirty environment, and then pay even more than promised. Obviously, there are several cards that do not point out that the offer, which is huge at the door, only for 3 pizzas is valid. It will probably speculated that you simply paid for foreigners due to the uncertain legal situation. Alone, that operation every time go away, if you want to talk about the problem, already shows the character of the store.

I can only warn against this restaurant.

Waited an age, food cold and undercooked. Calzone was uncooked dough and pasta was cold and tasteless. Go somewhere else!

Called in here and had the breakfast which included 12 items and a really good mug of cappucinno coffee for £4.99 each. You may get better quality bacon and sausage at other, more expensive, places but it was of reasonable quality. After all, we hadn't paid much.

(It is located just 5 minutes away from Kings Cross Station on Pentonville Road)

The restaurant itself was really clean and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. (The loos were also clean, though lacking working locks!)

We inspected their "All you can eat" Italian buffet for £6.90. All well cooked and presented. Not fine fare, but good, filling food with salad sides if required. If you are on a budget or just want a pleasant meal that leaves you feeling satisfied then I can recommend here.
