“DON'T STAY HERE!”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

Poor breakfast (no eggs, no bacon, no sausage, no beans...too simple even for english breakfast, maybe a little better than hostels), poor facilities, poor wi-fi connection, uncomfortable beds, and high price!
why don't book another? most of the hotels would be better than rooms here with cheaper price
The only advantage: not far from the euston underground station, about 5 mins walk from that station.

Room Tip: don't stay at this hotel at all

the staff are very helpful and the man and woman that were there when we were had a great sense of humor

Had 2 nights at the hotel in start of June and it was a mixed experience.

Seen in isolation:
The location was fine - easy access to the Tube - Earls Court and Gloucester Rd. Fine area to walk - e.g. to the Natural History and Albert & Victoria Museum.
Morning receptionist was very nice and accommodating. All the staff, we met, were Eastern European probably Russian women.
Safe and quiet neighborhood with less traffic which leave good opportunities for a good night’s sleep.
We arrived early - before official check in time - and was offered a room in the basement which was dark and smelly, so we said no thanks. Left our luggage in a storage and went out and when we came back we had a room on the 4th floor - with a closet and a which was really HOT as the sun was shining through the one window and the room was VERY small. It was impossible to air out as the hallways were also very hot.
The beds were very narrow and one of them suffered by having a sloping over it wall so not much room to move. The bathroom was also very small - sitting at the toilet was impossible without touching the shower curtain. In the shower it was impossible moving without touching the shower curtain.
Old carpets…...
The breakfast was really poor - 3 kinds of serials, 2 kinds of toast, boiled eggs - black inside, butter, jam, Nutella, cheese, tasteless yoghurt with preserved fruits, juice which had never seen apples or oranges, and coffee/tea. All of it can be seen on the photo except for a milk machine and the coffe (instant) and tea machine.

Generally seen:
Compared to general prices and conditions in London it is our impression that it was fine and a great deal - paid 124 £ for 2 nights.

Stayed here for one night on what was a good price however the hotel needs updating in all areas. room was serviceable but the sink in the bathroom lifted off the worktop if you pressed on the front of it. Shower showed no hot or cold on taps and was quite old. Radiator cover was hanging off on one corner. windows opened but didnt stay in up position. Breakfast area again serviceable but in need of update. Food choice not good more continental then english.
Staff at reception very pleasant . I would not on this showing say this was a three star hotel which is whats offered. Date of stay 6/6/13

The location is very convenient as it is near to the underground. The rooms are cramped and no space for big luggages. The bathroom is very cramped and the shower curtain is wrongly installed. It cannot be pulled along the grilles to prevent water from wetting the entire toilet when you take your shower. Also you need to pay a deposit which is refundable for the TV remote..
One good aspect is the friendly and helpfulness of the staff.
The price is not cheap for such a tiny room with not much amenities.

Don't spend your money on these tiny and cramped rooms. Barely enough room to even walk between the bed and the wall to access the bathroom. In order to close the bathroom door, you must straddle the commode. They require a 5£ deposit if you'd like to have a TV remote. The elevator operates from the lobby level; good luck calling it from an upper level. The elevator becomes an issue when trying to check out. Breakfast consists of: toast, cereal, boiled eggs, canned fruit, juice, coffee and hot tea. It's located a few blocks from access to the underground, making this one of only a couple good things I can report. The neighborhood felt very safe at night. Word to the wise: if the hotel you've chosen has minimal pictures online, beware!

We weren't expecting much when we booked it, considering the price - £70 for 2 nights in a double room inc. breakfast, but it's great value for money in London. The room was a bit small but it was perfectly clean and equipped with basic tea/coffee facilities and toiletries. Even breakfast was more than expected with coffee, milk, juices, plenty of hard boiled eggs, cereal, toasts, cheese, jams, butter, etc.

The staff is polite and the lady at check-out was friendly, maybe the manager/owner.

Overall nice stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who, like us, was going to spend the day walking around the city and just looking for a place to go back to sleep and shower as it was enough for us.

Room Tip: Try to get one facing the street as you the balcony is a nice touch (even though you can't go in...
