Well sited, clean and efficient. A step up form Holiday In Express. Lack charm, but did exactly what it said n the tin. Breakfast on the Patio in November in London is just silly, but the place round the corner where I had dinner as recommended by Cq, "Bills" was fine. A good place if you want to be close to the world of Law. There are some good pubs thereabouts as a result. The rooms were modern, with a good shower (4/5), so would stay there again.

On checking in, the small, black receptionist (? American accent?) didn't smile and hardly acknowledged us. Had no conversation and simply handed us our breakfast vouchers. He didn't ask if we knew about the breakfast service or explain to us the hotel amenities available etc. When seen at other times he didn't express and hello or good mornings.
Such an unwelcoming welcome and letdown as all the other staff are perfectly polite and professional. Perhaps he just couldn't be bothered? Wrong career choice?

A clean and simple space, good enough for a short business trip but less attractive for leisure purposes. The location is very central and on a quiet square a few steps from Holborn station.

The rooms are sparse and functional but well appointed for connectivity, including a Bluetooth speaker setup. Beyond that there's some oddities with the bed being unduly hard, and you'll find that breakfast is actually at a nearby restaurant in Holborn.

Given the price - and if you're eligible for the corporate rate - it's perfectly good for a one or two night trip to the city, but don't expect the luxurious frills and comforts you might get elsewhere.

First I should start with the positive parts about this hotel. The best part about it is its location. It is next to the London School of Economics and just a few minutes walk to the West End and Covent Garden. So, it has the best location, in between two tube stations: (closer to) Holborn (Central and Picadilly lines) and (a few minutes away from) Temple (Central and District lines). The other good part was that there was free wifi in the room. There was free water at the corridor and free bottles. Check out was so quick and convenient. The staff were friendly too. The rest was close to poor. I had a small double room and I know what the word "small" means. But the room was beyond small. I had no idea that it could be this small and the images of the room on the hotel's website did not reflect that either. I stayed at many other hotels in London before and I also know what small means in London. Moreover, I myself is a small person (1.63 metres tall) and I could hardly fit in the bathroom. The sink was right in front of the toilet and there was no way to sit straight on the toilet. You had to turn right in an awkward position for sitting on it. The corridors were not adequately ventilated... I paid a huge amount for such a small and inconvenient room and without even breakfast... I did not prefer to leave and find another hotel because of its great location. I can think of staying there if and only if I make sure to rent a bigger room and with a much much cheaper price.

Room Tip: Never ever choose a small double room if you are not a very very small person yourself.

Fine location, in Holborn actually on the park facing Lincoln Inn Fields. Our room looked out on a air shaft. the supposed complimentary breakfast cost 6 pounds. Rooms were small but not tiny. No tub, modern bath. free wifi, no turn down service or what you might expect at a larger/better hotel. But perfectly fine. Great for the business traveler, with a fridge and microwave. Plenty of places to eat in the neighborhood, lots of students from law schools and London School of Economics on the corner. Nice to be on the park. the breakfast is on a heated terrace in the front of the building,

Room Tip: ask for something that faces the park

rooms are comfortable and well equipped, staff are very helpful but the lack of a restaurant or bar is a definite negative. Room service is available but isn't 24 hour and all the local restaurants are shut by 11pm except the kebab shop.

I still rank this above any other short term accomodation in London for business.

Only a stones throw away from the Courts and a short walk from Covent Garden make it a great spot. Only a couple of stations on the Tube from Kings Cross too.

Thoroughly recommended again. The staff should also be singled out for their attentive and helpful service at all hours of the day.

Room Tip: Don't worry about getting any one particular room if you're not bothered about a view - all...
