The hotel had a great location. You could walk to buckingham palace, bog ben, london eye, picadilly circus etc. The rooms were clean enough. There was a railway outside the hotel, I wasn't bothered, but if you know you have problems sleeping, this might not be a hotel for you.
The breakfast was very simple. There was no real luggage room, you could leave your luggage in the breakfast room at own risk. The guy in the reception didn't really seem to know London that well, he didn't know where victoria street was...
Perfectly ok hotel to stay at for a few days if you don't want to spend a lot of money on accomodation

As aforementioned, the room is tiny.....so it your focus is going out exploring London and you just need a place to lay your head, it's fine. The staff were helpful....on my final day, the manager couldn't do enough to assist with getting me plastic bags and rubber bands to secure odds and ends! ...and the room was cleaned daily, beds made. Our bed did have a definite lean to it! breakfast is a choice of coco pops, cornflakes or bran flakes with toast, tea or coffee and the breakfast room is small...it can get crowded and torrid down there at times between 7 and 9 a.m. It's located close to Victoria station in a quiet street with ok pub on the corner. With a small fridge in the room, you can buy some groceries from the nearby Sainsburys but the room (or lack thereof) does not encourage lingering. And lack of air con does make for stuffy rooms. Good for a few nights in London esp at the price but you can start getting tetchy with your significant other esp with a lot of luggage after the 3rd night!!!

Room Tip: Stairs are narrow so if mobility is an issue, ask for a ground floor room.

As with previous reviews, after checking in Holly house reception I got taken 2 doors along to Alexander hotel. Receptionist was really helpful and took case 2 floors up to room. Room is tiny and cosy, more like Harry Potter under the stairs. But as I was out all day, just a place to sleep, bed was a bit lumpy though. Room was cleaned each day, shared toilet and shower, floor below clean. Room was next to Victoria rail staion, which trains mainly stopped between midnight and 6ish, not that loud other times. Breakfast was good - toast, cereal, oj and tea. 5 mins walk to Victoria coach and rail stations and to see Wicked in theatre, 20 min walk to Westminster for Abbey and Big Ben.

nice clean room. breakfast was to die for and 'all in all' the price was right. the staff are so helpfull, you could'nt ask for more, will def stay again. the room was single and small but it was good enough, it was clean and on the ground floor. there is a lift to all floors. victoria station is just round the courner and plenty of nice bars and eating places. thank you.

I have been here with my friend in Mach 2013. The place is quite good if you're looking for cheap hotel, located in the heart of London. Victoria station is just 5 minutes by walk, that is so convenient (tube and railway station, Sainsbury (great supermarket), Boots (pharmacy), M&S and so many shops and fast foods, Victoria coach station 7 minutes by walk.
Personal is quite friendly.
I can definitely recommend the place.

Yes, it's noisy, very small, no facilities, breakfast is cereal and toast with do-it-yourself instant coffee (actually a good idea as you can make it the strength you want !). Yes, it is in dire need of a repaint and double glazing etc.

BUT it is incredibly cheap for an amazing location in Central London. We are both 68 and just wanted a bed for two nights to get the most out of our stay in the Capital.

The bed was clean and comfortable, towels changed each day. Staff were pleasant and helpful (rare in the UK). We were only there to sleep and shower (that was excellent too).

You get what you pay for - this accommodation served our purpose at a price that allowed us to see a show, visit Covent Garden, The Shard and the Cutty Sark, and Buckingham Palace.

We were happy - we never had five-star expectations at this price, therefore we were not disappointed.

Room Tip: Bring earplugs if you have sleeping difficulties - all reviews warn of train noise as Victoria Stati...
