“Great budget ££ for london hotel”
Reviewed 1 April 2014 via mobile

Ive stayed here twice because of the location and price. Just about 10mins walk from Victoria station and you can walk to buckingham palace. The hotel corridors are small especially if you get the basement rooms. But you get all the basic important things for the price you paid (ensuite bathroom, breakfast included and free wifi)

A friend and I stayed for one night. We were given key cards to our room which was basic but had the essentials anyone would want. Breakfast was between 7-9am - don't be late or you will not be served. Free WIFI.

Stayed here for 1 night this week. It's cheap and cheerful what more do you expect from a 1 star hotel In the city of London for less that £50 a night! Breakfast was good. Would stay here again as it is very convenient and excellent if you are on a budget in London.

Apart from being very dated, the hotel itself was fine for us. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the location was great-very central and just around the corner from a train station, bus station and underground station. The breakfast was very basic but was in keeping with the price we paid.
The staff were very rude. On checking in there was a bit of confusion with regards to payment which was later cleared up, but instead of trying to explain the situation to us, the member of staff just pushed bits of paper at us with bits circled and underlined and seemed to find it a major inconvenience to actually speak to us. At breakfast the next morning, the dishes were cleared away as soon as they were empty-so tough luck if you wanted another cup of tea or slice of toast. A young girl at our table actually had to leave the breakfast room whilst finishing her toast because the staff essentially forced us out before we were finished. Finally, on check out I asked if there was anywhere we could leave our bags to pick up later and the guy at reception simply pointed at a sign regarding this matter and said "read the sign ma'am."
All in all, the hotel suited us fine and we got exactly what we paid for. Just prepare yourself for rude staff if you decide to stay here.

We got a very discusting room. Especially the bathroom.
The staff were not very nice either.
But the breakfast were ok, you got some bread and marmalade, coffee, tea or chocolate. We only stayed two nights, so over all it was ok for a shopping trip when you only sleep there.

Having read previous reviews I was expecting the worse but was proved wrong. The location is fantastic (2 min walk from Victoria coach station and an extra 5 mins to Victoria station/tube)and though the property backs into a rail track, my partner and I slept very well. The room was small but had everything we needed-fridge, closet space, drink making facilities and a mirror. We were given the option of upgrading to an en suite room for just £4 extra which was great. I checked out the shared bathrooms and they were spotless. Yes the en suite was tiny but the shower was powerful and hot. I will certainly come back here everytime I visit London. It was just like being at home really. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel really except at times the bathroom had a slight smell of sewage. Its a real bargain and you can't find anything cheaper for the location and a cosy room. It was valentines weekend and I only paid £108 for 2 nights in a double room.
