“Very nice hotel, nicely located, good value for money”
Reviewed 31 August 2014

We have stayed for in this hotel for a long weekend. It is nicely located, close to Hyde Park, Bayswater and Queensway station. Shops and Restaurants are nearby. However, as the hotel is located at a small square off the main road, overlooking a small park, there is no traffic noise. We stayed in the third floor, facing the park. Very quiet and spacious room, everything very clean and tidy, for London standards. I can't say anything about the breakfast, as we went out for breakfast twice, but it would have been 7 Pound per Person, due only in the morning, if you decide to go for it, which is also very pleasant offer.

We stayed at this hotel during our recent visit to London. The hotel is conveniently located near Bayswater and Queensway stations which makes it handy to wherever you need to go in and around London. Hyde Park is in walking distance and we strolled through here on our way to Buckingham Palace. We had a first floor double room overlooking the park, the room was small but we knew to expect that from previous comments. It was clean and serviced daily. The staff were most helpful on arrival and assisting us with any queries during our stay, we would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view room.

My daughter and I stayed in The London House Hotel on Tuesday night, for a trip to Earls Court show.We wanted something at a good price, central, clean and quiet.Well we weren't disappointed! We got a great price for a mid week booking, and found it really easily.Only a short walk from Bayswater tube, near lots of shops and places to eat.The hotel staff were lovely, really helpful,I had emailed them and requested a room on the first floor,as didn't want a basement room, which they replied straight away and said that was fine. Also on booking out on the Wednesday morning, they let us leave our bag in the back storage room, whilst we spent the day in London.
Our room was a regular on-suite double, ours faced the back of the hotel and was pretty quiet (apart from a bit of noise from some delivery vans in the morning).Had air conditioning, small flat screen tv with extra channels, small fridge and safety deposit box.The room was a little small, but okay for us for one night, also would have liked a bath, but we hadn't requested one anyway.
Breakfast is available at £7 pp,but we had it in a local coffee shop.
We would definatley stay there again and would recommend it to family and friends, although more expensive on a weekend,I'm sure a bargain could be found on the net!

The second time we have stayed here this year. This time, my son and I were in a twin, garden facing room on the first floor. I find the hotel an excellent place to stay in London; convenient for tubes, lots of shops and eateries on the doorstep and the area "feels" safe and welcoming. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there is so much (cheaper!) choice nearby.

I was aware of our neighbours in the hotel this time; I imagine due to the positioning of the furniture in the rooms. Still, probably the quietest place I have stayed in whilst in London.

The hotel is an ideal place to stay whilst in London.

We stayed here for two nights, total cost of £218 as we were attending the Notting Hill Carnival. We choose this hotel due to its location to this event. The hotel was certainly well situated for our needs, in a quiet street. There are two tube stations within walking distance - Bayswater and Queensway. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to a Shopping Centre. There are lots of restaurants offering a wide range of food, as well as a number of supermarkets all within 5 minutes walk.
Like previous reviewers the rooms are very small. We stayed in a double room with a garden view on the 4th floor (with shower only). There was a safe and a fridge which was very useful. The room, bedding and towels were very clean. There was space to store our hand luggage in the cupboard. House keeping was very good and changed our towels on the second day. We requested an extra pillow and this was provided quickly. We both felt the bed was quite uncomfortable (very soft mattress) but having extra pillows helped. Free Wi Fi worked well. We did not have breakfast (which I understand was continental), there are a number of restaurants locally who offer breakfast options. I would recommend this hotel, due to its location, but I would only stay here again if I was attending an event in the local area.

Room Tip: Choose a garden room on the upper floors..

First time in London and wanted to explore the city and its many famous landmarks. London House was situated within walking distance from the Underground Station. Coming from the Paris-London train, we hopped on the Underground to arrive at the Bayswater Station, which is about 2 blocks from the hotel. The hotel fronts onto the Kensington Square Gardens, a peaceful and beautiful park. The Bayswater station links to all the stations easily, although it can take up to an hour to reach the Tower of London on the other end of town, and about 30 minutes to Leicester Square/Covent Garden, from the hotel. The hotel is however within walking distance to Kensington Palace, and a train stop over to High Street and Oxford Street Shopping. Dining nearby is limited and mostly ethnic fast foods, therefore we took trains to Leicester or Trafalger or Covent to get the best options. Hotel offers limited amenities and rooms are very small; however, they do offer a room that would sleep 4 (hard to find) in 2 twin beds and 1 double bed. Washroom is very basic and could use a counterspace. We had a room that was not renovated, however, there are others that have gone through some makeover. Internet is spotty and weak and could be improved. Otherwise, great value for an expensive city.

Very happy with our stay. The staff were fantastic, and it seems the hotel has recently been renovated as it was pristine!

Room was definitely on the small side however I'm guessing that is the standard in London.

I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
